Coalition of Powers

Line Ark and the US had received an invitation from the more "civilized" nations to be apart of an organization known as the Coalition of Powers, most of the world leaders would be there including leaders from Belka, Arkland, and a few other nations whom the foreign superpowers haven't made contact with.

Both president Levi and president Grant landed in the previous unknown nation of Cavania made up of a newly discovered race, dark elves.

Both parties made there way into the building and quickly found the conference room as they entered they received a multitude of different stares, some hateful others intrigued, and a few confused.

As the meeting came underway a man of pale compleation who was sitting right next to Grant stood up and spoke with a thick accent "who are these newcomers?"

Another man who both presidents recognized as a Arkland ambassador "they are new members." He paused and gave a look of disgust "you were left out of the vote because it was a discussion for the more advanced nations."

Both men sat back down as the dark elf at the table stood up "I'm sorry for there rudeness but to start introductions I am Arthorn the current ruling chancellor of Cavania it is a pleasure to finally meet the both of you."

As soon as the other nations at the table introduced themselves the meeting began with discussions about trade deals and what resources or technology that Line Ark and the US could export. Although the imports the two superpowers would receive were for a better term, outdated.

A few of the country's offerd resources like oil or coal this proposal was quickly shut down by Grant and Levi. Seeing as how the US was self sufficient using fusion Power, while Line Ark dominated the Kojima market seeing as how they are the market.

Although the two powers did agree on a few trades with the lesser developed nations for food and other humanitarian supplies. While more talks where underway the Arkland ambassador immediately spoke up.

"How uncharacteristic for capitalists to care about the little guys." The whole room went silent  before the Arthorn could apologize to there new members about the ambassadors outburst Levi shot the man with a glare.

"You may not know a lot about are history but at one point we were the little guy and we rose up to dominate the planet we came from fought countless wars beyond your imagination, so what gives you the right to speak." Levi spat with venom.

The room quickly turned into a yelling match between the two presidents and the ambassador until both Grant and Levi stood up announcing that they would not be participating in any further meetings and any country willing to Fallow there lead would be guaranteed there independence by both nations.

For a few seconds silence filled the air until both the pale man from early and the Belkan president Larry Foulke joined them along with two other nation leaders.

Out of the eight seats at the round table only 5 remained the CoP had lost almost half there members, mostly the technically inferior nations.

It took no time for Line Ark and the US to set up its own organization "the Alliance of Free Nations" the AFN heavily resembled NATO in many ways, to say the CoP was angry would be an understatement, it would seem that another cold war loomed over the horizon.

We see a cargo ship pull into the harbor as a port worker looks over some documents he quickly turns to another worker "are we expecting any ships today.

"No there shouldn't be any, hold on I'll get in contact with the port authorities."

We switch to the pov of a civilian camera as it films authorities boarding the ship as people talk in the back ground.

"What are they looking for."

"Do you see any crew?"

As soon as the authorities make it below deck the ship explodes and the camera cuts out. The sky is fill with smoke as debris rain down, containers on adjacent ships slam open as creatures of various sizes pour off of the ship and into the port making there way to the downtown area.

The camera cuts to body cam footage of a police officer as she fires her service weapon at a large creature, the 9mm doing absolutely nothing. "Fuck fuck fuck!" The camera cuts as the last frame visible is the monster lunging at the office.

(Kinda short chapter but it's to set up events for the season one finally, and of course I had to do something to Hoffnung.)
