I didn't bother to resist. I had only noticed the door was locked the morning after.

Reginald had not come to wake me up per usual. Neither had any of the maids come knocking on my door to bring me food.

Once I realized what Akira had done, I stopped struggling to open the door. If he wished to be childish then I would play along.

He could starve me to death for all I cared. He could lock me up in here until I died from thirst. Until my lifeless body turned cold. Until I started to rot and decay. Until the smell became so unbearable he had to get rid of my body.

My vision started to blur every time I tried to walk around my room. I hadn't eaten or drunk anything these past two days.

On the third day the door opened. I laid in bed holding a book in my hands. Although I was staring at it more than I read it.

"Reginald?" I asked hopeful.

But it wasn't him.

"Get up."

My body froze. No matter how little I cared about my life, the fear imprinted in me was hard to ignore.

Within seconds I was standing.

"Akira..." I gave him a little bow. I made sure my gaze stayed lowered as he walked towards me.

His hand gripped my jaw. I could almost feel his fingers press in my bones.

It hurt.

I kept quiet.

"You look horrible." He breathed. His face never changing.

He let go of me. "Change. You've got ten minutes." A black bag fell before my feet and he disappeared as fast as he had appeared.

"Yes..." I mumbled into the empty room.

I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.

Embracing the darkness.
