The cold streams of water washed away the last bits of soap. Akira wiped the water of his body and came out of the shower. He walked to the other side of the bathroom and picked his towel up. Wrapping it around his lower half.

He looked at himself in the mirror for only a moment, before heading back to his bedroom. After drying and changing his clothes he headed to bed. He didn't have many hours left to sleep and felt no need to waste anymore time.

The sheets felt cold against his skin. He laid on his back and looked out of the window.

Full moon...

But no matter how much Akira tried, he couldn't sleep. There was this crawling sensation, moving up his back and neck. Discomfort and slight annoyance welled up in him.

Where was this coming from?, he asked himself. But he couldn't answer. He was exhausted. He had planned and prepared so much for today. Careful calculations and hours of work. Manipulating partners and crushing enemies, all for this one cause. And it all went according to plan. But...

It was too easy.

He couldn't help but think something was wrong.

I'm missing something.

But what?

His thought led to nowhere. His calculations were perfect. Nothing should've gone wrong. But that doesn't mean nothing did.

His line of work was dangerous. No matter how normal it may seem on the surface. There was not one person who hadn't had their hands drenched in blood.

As long as I'm not next to be buried alive.

Akira cleared his head and finally felt his sleep come over him. His heart beat slowed and so did his breathing. Then suddenly a face popped up in his head.

["What is the point in talking of the death, Akira."]

Akira couldn't help but feel that maybe he went a bit too far this time.

It was his fiancee that died. Not his dog. I could've been a bit more understanding...

Because no matter how much of a nuisance this marriage was, his husband was still a human being with feelings.

Too late to take it back now.
