BRIELLE

*time skip, one year later.*

Cheering fills the arena as the game falls to an end, Langston in the lead as people scream from the stands.

It's not a huge arena, but it's nice. Seeing people cheer on the under 18's team as they play the final game for the season.

Aka, the championship.

My heart races as the buzzer fills the arena, screams coming from everyone and nearly deafening me as everyone jumps and spills their drinks everywhere.

Some beer lands on my jumper, making me gasp. But luckily, it isn't my hoodie, it's Gray's. So he can be the one who gets it back damp and smelling of beer.

"Fuck yeah!" Leo shouts, jumping up and punching the air. Making me smile at him, he's become my person that I take to the games with me.

Seeing as Gray is the team captain, he got us seats by the front. Mostly because he doesn't want any boys coming up to me and flirting, especially when he can't be there to tell them to fuck off.

Even though I can take care of myself, he just enjoys being protective.

But I must say, it has a way better view than up in the stands. But the supporters are more crazy down here, after buying the seasonal tickets.

Every time someone scored, or Gray went passed at the end of periods he'd hit the board. Sometimes making me jump, but other times sending me a wink under his visor.

We've been together for just over a year now, around a year and five months, officially. I'm not entirely sure, but if I asked Gray he'd give me the days as well.

Maybe even the time.

Leo wraps me into a hug and lifts me up, shaking me and dropping me back onto my feet. Whatever bad blood Gray had with Leo, it all sorted out after we broke up.

I found out that they were exchanging secret texts about my health at the time, well more Leo telling Gray if I've been sleeping or eating.

It was cute.

"So, you got your letters yet?" Leo asks, as we sit back down. Waiting for everyone to head out the arena, so we don't get trampled on the way out.

Oh yes, our college letters. I applied to three different colleges around the same area, and hopefully I got into at least one of them.

Gray on the other hand already knows he got in, simply because he was offered a scholarship ages ago. And after some convincing I got him to accept it.

But now I'm just waiting to see if I got into Senar college in Boston, I'm really hoping so, since that would mean being able to spend my college years with Gray.

Something we've planned out for ages.

And I'm hoping it goes well, I've spent too long manifesting it and now I just have to wait and see if I got in.

I won't lie, if I don't, I'd be disappointed. But hopefully I'd get into one of the colleges near Boston or in Boston, so I'm close by.

Because we all know long distance barely ever works out.

"No not yet. I don't think so," I sigh, rubbing my forehead. Leo got his letter this morning, telling him he got accepted, but that can only mean one thing, if I haven't got mine yet, I haven't got in.

"It will be okay, the mail man's probably just a little slow today," Leo attempts, smiling at me.

I nod, "Yeah I guess." If I tell myself that, it will
make it's way inside my brain and make me feel better.
