Pain was all she could register as her eyes fluttered open, and for a moment she thought that yet again, she was hypothermic on their doorstep.
But then she moved her head, and felt familiar warm pillowcases, taking in their scent.
She was in Namjoon's room.
Her head swam, trying to adjust to the bright lights and animated voices chattering around her. Though she knew it was the boys, she couldn't work out what they were saying. Everything was fuzzy, as if covered in thick cotton wool.
"Nnnngh..."
Did she make that noise?
"Hang on, I think he's waking up!"
Wait, 'he'?
"Namjoon-hyung?" she recognised the concerned voice that was definitely Jungkook's.
What happened before she woke up? Where had she been?
She searched her memories, finally alighting on her shopping trip with Taehyung. They had pulled in to get food, and then... and then...
Nothing.
She must have blacked out, or her human brain wasn't functioning properly, because there was just darkness after that.
"Namjoon-hyung? Can you hear me?" Jungkook called softly.
Why is he calling for Namjoon?
She tried to reach her hand out, to show Jungkook that she was awake too, but realised it was trapped.
Trapped, in another person's hand.
Someone else was in the same bed.
What the hell is going on...
With all the strength she could muster, she fluttered her eyes open fully, taking in the brightness of the room, and seven concerned faces peering down at her. She recognised six, but had never met the seventh in person.
"Noona!" Jungkook called, and she turned to see his huge bunny smile covering his face. "You're awake!"
She tried to sit up, but was too weak. Taehyung gently shushed her as he pushed her back into the pillows, soft waves falling over his eyes as he leaned over her. "You need to rest, noona. You completely passed out back there."
