"Hyung... I'm so sorry," Jungkook repeated, head in his hands as he sat alone on the couch. The group of them had gathered in the living room to discuss the situation - minus Taehyung, who had excused himself on the grounds of not feeling well.

After what he'd just witnessed on the balcony, Namjoon strongly suspected that was a lie.

The mood in the room was serious, and despite the large quantities of alcohol they had all consumed, Namjoon figured this news had been enough to sober them up.

"It's okay, Jungkook-ah," he reassured Jungkook. "It could have happened to any of us, you were just unlucky."

Jungkook looked up briefly. His eyes were red-rimmed and his lip bitten to pieces as he looked over at the woman standing nervously in the doorframe. "Noona, I'm sorry too. I don't know what the press are going to do if they see you with us again."

Namjoon followed his eyes, and caught her attention. Her gaze was steady and trained on him, and he remembered what she had said when he'd first gotten the call from Bang PD.

Go easy on Jungkookie, she had pleaded. It's not his fault. It's mine, I've done that with Tae and you and Jimin as well. I should have been more careful.

But Namjoon couldn't bring himself to blame her. He didn't think he would ever be able to do that. At the end of the day, their lives were controlled by the press, by hungry reporters who were out to get them wherever they went.

No one was to blame but them.

"PD-nim wants to go public and say she's a stylist," he said, sighing. "That she was with Jungkook because he was filming something for Run BTS that day and she had to accompany him."

"But still..." Hobi chimed in uneasily. "He's kissing her head... it's not going to look good. And there's going to be a witch hunt to find her."

"And when they do find her, and they can't trace her story because... well..." Jimin trailed off, clearly not wanting to say, because she's not human.

Jin nodded in agreement. "It can't go well, Namjoon."

Jungkook hung his head once more in shame. The sight of it clearly startled her, because she finally spoke up.

"It's okay," she said in a trembling voice. "It's okay, let them publish it."

Namjoon's eyes widened. "No, I-"
