Celine was nervous.

It had been two weeks now since her and Namjoon's visit to Dr. Lee's laboratory, and the only contact they had was from Dr. Lee a few days ago to say that they were still analysing the results. She wasn't sure if this was a good or bad sign; surely, if there was no hope, it wouldn't be taking this long, indicating that perhaps... they had found a way?

But most of her anxieties were eased by how much better connected her and Namjoon seemed to be these days. She felt stronger than she had done in weeks; though she was still tired easily and fought to stay awake, her increased contact with Namjoon seemed to make things easier. Since he'd found out that strengthening their bond made Celine feel a lot less exhausted, he had barely left her side - and this was not easy, considering they were rehearsing for their first live performance.

Today was the day of the performance.

It was the performance itself that was the cause of her nerves. ARMYs had attended the pre-recording of the comeback a few weeks ago, but this was a real, live performance, with real, live reactions.

What if the boys were wrong, and they couldn't do this without the eternal power?

What if without Celine, this spelled the end of their careers?

These doubts had always played on her mind, but they were especially loud today.

Her doubts were only fed when the boys finally took to the stage. They gave it their everything, moving in sync and performing their hearts out. It was, she knew, one of their best performances.

And yet the crowd was... lukewarm.

It was so unlike ARMY, to be anything but supportive, and though they screamed and shouted and chanted in all the right places, Celine could feel it deep in her soul. The eternal power telling her something wasn't right.

Something was disconnected, like a cord had been unplugged.

She tried to tell herself this was just how it would have to be from now on. ARMY still loved them, clearly, as they had sold the venue out in seconds; but Celine couldn't help worrying.
