"So...your name is Luther?"

I stared at her and nodded. I had a lot in store for her.

"When do you want to get together for the project."

"Today."

"What time?"

"Right now."

Ava looked up. "Now?"

I nodded again. "Come home with me."

"Do you have a car?"

I shook my head.

"Do you walk?"

I nodded.

"Is it far?"

I nodded.

She let out a sight. "I suppose I can drive you."

"Okay."

"The bell just rang, let's go."

We walked out of class together. People stared at us as we walked down the hallway. I grinned at them. I took great pride in what I was doing. What I was about to do.

We walked out to the parking lot. I got even weirder looks when I got into her car. We started driving off.

"Are you like, a witch or something?" she asked out of the blue.

"What makes you say that?"

"Just, the way that people look at you. Like you did something to deserve it. They say that you're responsible for that girl's death. Which I know is absurd, but..."

She kept rambling on and on like there was no tomorrow. Well, for her, there wasn't. I couldn't wait to kill her. I stared out the window.

"Luther?"

I snapped out of my thoughts and turned my head towards her.

"Hm?"

"I said that I'll be your friend if you want."

I tilted my head. "But...no one wants to be my friend."

"That's okay."

"Don't you want to fit in?"

"Don't you?"

I shrugged. "I'm not sure anymore."

We arrived at my house. She walked inside and scrunched her nose.

"This is your house?"

I nodded.

"It seems...abandoned."

"Well, I don't necessarily take care of it."

"It's dark," she observed. "The windows are all boarded up. Why?"

"I don't need anybody looking in on what I'm doing."

She chuckled. "And what exactly would you be doing?"

"Oh, there are many things."

She set her backpack down on the dusty floor.

"Such as?"

I disappeared behind her. She looked around.

"Luther?" she asked. "Where did you go...?"

I snuck up behind her and clasped my hand over her mouth. She squealed, trying to get away. I rested my other hand over her stomach to keep her secure next to me.

I dragged her over to a hardened couch and slammed her onto it.

"Luther!" she screamed. "What are you doing?"

I cackled and pinned her to the couch. She looked up at me, her eyes frightened and innocent. I smirked as I brought my lips crashing down on hers.

She whimpered as she kept trying to escape. I needed to pin her down more.

"Luther," she whispered through my aggressive kisses. I pulled up.

"What?" I shouted.

"You killed that girl, didn't you?"

I pursed my lips, but brought them back to her. There were chains near the sofa, so I reached out and grabbed them. I attached them around her wrists so that her hands were above her head.

She gasped. I have to do it now, I thought. Right now!

I slipped my cold tongue into her mouth that was filled with the taste of artificial melon. I swirled my tongue around, savoring every last bit of sweetness.

She whimpered and moaned more, still trying to get away, even though her efforts were futile.

Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it. Do it.

I shut my eyes as tight as I could.

No.

I pulled away from her.

"Ava..." I whispered for the first time.

She breathed shakily. "Wh-wh-what?"

"Ava..." I whispered again as I backed away from her mouth.

"What?" she repeated.

I quickly unlatched the chains from her wrists.

"What are you doing?"

I pushed her off of the couch.

"Go!" I screamed.

"Huh?" She looked up at me, completely bewildered.

"I said go!"

Her eyes shifted nervously back and forth. She suddenly jumped up, grabbed her backpack, and ran out my front door. I chased after her.

"And don't tell anybody!" I screamed. "Or I will kill you!"

Her car zoomed off, as I tasted that last bit of watermelon in my mouth and chuckled to myself.
