CHAPTER SEVENTEEN
Drunken mistakes.

MADISON AWOKE WITH A pounding headache, bringing two fingers to her beating temples as she glanced around, sand between her toes.

She looked to her right, her eyes going wide as she noticed a passed out Rudy, she searched for her phone, fumbling with it as she checked the time.

7:08 am

They were due to start filming at eight, she tucked her brown hair behind her ears, grabbing her high heels as she shook the blonde awake.

He whined, his light eyes fluttering open, a groan leaving his mouth as he leaned up, "What time is it?"

"Seven. We have to go. We'll talk about this later." Madison shook her head, standing up as she nearly tripped, hurrying back to the hotel room that was only a two minute walk away.

When she entered her hotel room, she was greeted with a worried Madelyn, the girls face holding a relived look as she sighed.

"Where have you been? I've been trying to call you since last night." Madelyn furrowed her brows, watching her best friend rush to the bathroom, hearing the shower turn on.

"I'll tell you later. I can't be late." Madison called out as she shut the bathroom door, not even caring that the water was cold as she scrubbed her sandy body down.

She threw the loofah to the side, deciding against washing her hair as she figured she'd have it drenched in hairspray by the end of the day, she threw on her undergarments paired with a T-shirt and shorts, leaving her face bare.

Madelyn had her arms crossed, sliding the girl a mug of coffee.

"Thanks." Madison smiled gently, sliding on the brown Birkenstocks as she followed Madelyn out of the hotel room.

Madelyn gave her an odd stare as they stood in the elevator, her eyes tracing down to her neck, she giggled as she shook her head, "Think makeup is gonna be able to cover up that mark on your neck? Let me guess, curling iron?"

Madison furrowed her brows in confusion, "What?" She took out her cellphone, clicking the camera, her eyes going wide at the deep purple mark blotched on her skin.

The blonde stared at her, holding in her laughter as she watched her panic frantically, the elevator dinging as they got closer to the lobby floor.

"Madelyn! This isn't funny. What am I supposed to say?" Madison slapped her arm, rubbing the mark as she tried to rid of it.

"Okay, okay, chill out." Madelyn held her shaky hand, "Just don't say it was Rudy. It's that simple. They won't barge into your business, Mads. Now, c'mon."

Madison frowned deeply as they exited the elevator, pushing her hair to the front of her shoulders, hiding the very visible hickey.

They exited the hotel, numerous paparazzi trucks outside, camera flashes blinding the two girls, they shot them kind smiles before entering the truck pulled in front.

God, Madison couldn't stand the paparazzi. All they wanted was a good story. To ruin someone's entire reputation just to get a couple hundred bucks.

She folded her hands in her lap, peering out of the tinted windows as they drove down the Barbados streets.

"I didn't even know paparazzi was a thing out here." Madelyn chuckled to herself, staring out of the window as she shook her head.

Madison hummed in agreement, fiddling with the rings on her fingers as they drove down the seemingly empty roads.

The car rolled to a stop, the driver sending the girls off with a warm smile as they slipped him a tip, they exited the car, walking up to the gate.

"Madelyn Cline and Madison Beer." The girls said into the speaker, the camera fixated on them as the gates opened, the duo making their way down the trailers.

Her nerves made her on edge, the feeling of his soft hands making their way down her body made her shiver with chills, she couldn't get him off her mind.

Madison had spent months wallowing in her bed about her scarring breakup with Rudy, and now she'd fully let herself crumble beneath him, literally.

Chase greeted the two with a cheeky smile, kissing the side of Madelyn's temple as he nodded his head towards the brunette, "Mornin', ladies."

"Morning." Madison gulped, peering over her shoulder, so badly wanting to hide her face.

"What's up with you? You seem on edge." J.D teased the girl, a hint of genuine concern in his jokey tone.

She just laughed as she shook her head, "Oh, no, nothing. Just exhausted and ready to get this filming done with."

"I hear you." Madelyn agreed, her eyes shutting as she leaned her back on Chase.

Jonas approached the cast mates chatting, holding a clipboard, "Hey, guys. Start heading to costume, we're gonna start shooting in less than two hours."

Madison sighed, side eying the blonde girl who just gave her a comforting arm rub as she headed towards costume, which ultimately meant she'd be first up in makeup.

Oh, was she looking forwards to this.
