In the real world, on the other side, Gojo confides in Kiyotaka Ijichi about a recurring dream that's been haunting him.

"The higher-ups are nothing but the scum of the jujutsu world," Gojo begins frustrated.

Despite his role as a teacher, he knows deep down that his talents could be better utilized elsewhere. "I'm not cut out for teaching," he admits.

If he ever hopes to rebuild the shattered foundation of the jujutsu world, Gojo understands the importance of forging strong alliances.

He sees potential in every student, envisioning them as formidable jujutsu sorcerers in the making.

Among them, he singles out Hakari and Okkotsu, the upperclassmen, as particularly promising. And Itadori who had potential to be one of them, but now he's dead.

Inari's POV

A sharp pain pierces through my head, jolting me awake.

As I struggle to regain my bearings, I find myself surrounded by concerned faces—by third and fourth-year students.

"You look like you've seen a ghost! Are you alright?" Panda's voice cuts through my haze.

"My head... it feels like there's a knife lodged in it." Groaning, I gingerly touch my throbbing temple.

"What happened to you?" Fushiguro inquires concerned.

I hesitate for a moment, contemplating whether to divulge the truth about Sukuna and Yuuji to the students.

But for now, I decide to keep my secrets close, resolving to address the matter after I've dealt with the immediate aftermath.

"I don't know," I mumble. The others exchange uncertain glances, unsure of what to say. Kugisaki wastes no time before launching herself at me, clinging onto my shoulders.

"Inariii-Chaannn!!" she wails. "Ugh!" I groan, patting her back half-heartedly. "I'm fine... I'm fine."

"Are you sure?" Maki eyes me skeptically as I push myself upright.

"Yeah," I reply, flashing Fushiguro a grin. "What, you wanna go?" His expression darkens with suspicion.

I can't resist. I lean in and kiss his cheek.

"Changed my mind. I'm gonna join the exchange event," I announce, catching him off guard.

"Why the sudden change?" he asks, clearly puzzled.

"No idea. But catch you later! I gotta go." With that, I stumble out of the courtyard, still feeling a bit disoriented.

Bursting into the hospital room, I swing the door open, nearly taking it off its hinges. "Inari? What's wrong?" Gojo asks, clearly entertained by my lack of decorum.

"How's he doing?" I blurt, no time for greetings. I laser-focus on Itadori's corpse-like body. "Are you half asleep?" Gojo's frown deepens.

"What, Inari... you wanna pitch in too?" Ieiri deadpans, slipping on her gloves.

"What are you even saying?!! No! He's my lover for fuck's sake!!" I exclaim frustrated. She merely shrugs, unfazed.

I gape at Itadori's unmoving body.

He's not awake yet?!

"Inari, what's wrong?" Gojo repeats, watching me flail.

"No, nothing..." I mutter, raking a hand through my disheveled hair. Memories of my visit to Sukuna's domain and finding Itadori there flood my mind.

Did that bastard lie again?!'

Just as Shoko prepared to dissect his body, Itadori suddenly stirred to life. Surprise washed over Gojo's face as his student sat up, and I couldn't help but beam.
