Sadako's POV
Over two centuries had passed since the fateful union of me and Sukuna. The world had changed in unimaginable ways, but our marriage remained, and so did his cruel reign.
Through the years, our relationship had undergone transformations, from love to resentment, to a fragile alliance, and now, nothing.
In the beginning, my heart had been filled with hope, the naive belief that love could conquer all. But as time wore on, I had learned that love was not always enough.
It could not erase the pain of betrayal, the scars of broken promises, or the burden of centuries of struggle. It was a lesson learned in the hardest way possible.
Sukuna, on the other hand, had grown into a powerful and feared figure, the embodiment of darkness and strength.
The world knew him as Ryomen Sukuna, a name whispered in awe and fear. But to me, he was still the man I had once loved.
We no longer lived a life of passionate embraces or heated arguments.
It was a quiet existence, punctuated by stolen glances. My cold and hurtful words, Sukuna's soft gestures of tenderness amidst a world that had moved on.
It was a marriage that had weathered storms beyond imagination, yet somehow, we remained bound together by an unbreakable thread of fate. 'Soulmate' The only thing that kept us together.
In the depths of my heart, I had meticulously collected every piece of knowledge about Sukuna's vulnerabilities.
Years of careful observation and covert information-gathering had led her to uncover the chinks in his formidable armor.
I knew that the path to defeating him lay not in physical strength alone, but in understanding the intricate web of emotions that bound him.
The secret council chamber was abuzz with heated debates, as the sorcerers grappled with the weight of their decisions.
The revelation of Sukuna's weaknesses had stirred a myriad of emotions, from fear to vengeful resolve.
Some members argued for the eradication of the great curse that had plagued them for centuries, while others leaned towards imprisonment as a means of containment.
Amidst the passionate exchanges, I stood firm, my voice unwavering as I spoke. "No, you cannot take his life." I implored, my eyes locking with each council member in turn.
"He's my husband."
As the councilors continued their deliberations, my heart swelled up in pain. The tattoo hurt me more than anything.
"He's my soulmate."
My decision to stand up for Sukuna was not just an act of loyalty but a testament to the love I still held for the man I was married all those years ago.
In the end, the council reached a decision-to seal Sukuna, confining him to a place where he could do no harm to the outside world.
It was a compromise, one that I knew was not perfect, but it offered a chance for redemption. As I stood there, contemplating the unknown, fear and determination filled me.
