Sadako's POV
The moment Sukuna rose, the earth answered. Trees twisted, bark splitting like open wounds. The cursed energy around them thickened into something almost solid—palpable dread.
He cracked his neck once, slowly.
"Been a long time since someone slapped the brat and made me come out," he said, licking blood from his lip. "Sadako... you've got my attention."
Sadako didn't respond. Her body trembled—but not with fear. With recoil. Whatever was left of Inari was locked in the basement of her mind, screaming. What stood before him was the void. The instincts. The curse reborn.
She lunged.
Sukuna met her head-on.
The first impact shattered the trees around them. Wood exploded like shrapnel, slicing through the air. Birds fled in a screaming cloud. The forest cracked.
Sadako's heel slammed into Sukuna's side—he blocked it with a forearm, but the force sent him crashing into a boulder, obliterating it on contact.
"YES!" he howled, standing up, arms spread. "Give me more, Sadako!"
She didn't wait. Her cursed energy rippled like waves of oil, warping the air. She carved the sky with her hands—slicing reality itself—and sent ribbons of cursed force barreling toward him.
Sukuna dodged, barely, laughing. With a flick of his finger, the earth exploded beneath her—a hidden domain trap.
She fell.
But only for a second.
She caught herself mid-air, flipped, and came down like a meteor. Her fist hit the ground—
BOOM.
A crater. Wide. Swallowing. The shockwave buckled the nearby mountains. Sukuna grinned wider.
"You're not Inari anymore," he said, crouching low. "You're better."
He launched forward. Hands ablaze with black flame. He met her in the center of the blast zone, fists colliding so hard that time paused.
Tree trunks bent. Animals fled. Even curses hiding in the shadows whimpered.
Sadako snarled, her eyes blank. Her mouth didn't move—but her power screamed.
Sukuna roared back.
They exchanged blows too fast for the eye to follow. Punches that shattered sound. Kicks that sent ripples across the sky.
Sadako swung low, her nails lengthening into blades. Sukuna blocked—barely—but his cheek split open. Blood sprayed.
He laughed again.
"YES! YESSS! YOU'RE PERFECT!"
He raised his hand—flames spiraled into a burning orb the size of a house. "FLAME CLEAVE!"
He hurled it at her.
Sadako took the hit head-on.
The explosion turned the entire left side of the forest into glass. Trees vaporized. The air screamed.
But when the dust settled—
She was still standing.
Her hair, charred. Skin cracked. But those dead eyes burned with something feral.
