Chapter 20

Y/n pov:

I looked at Boruto "is Naruto okay?"

He nodded "yeah. Ooh and we're leaving...today"

"We are, what if I wasn't awake?" I asked slowly getting out of bed

"I would have carried you" he helped me and we walked towards the door

"Are you sure you would have been strong"

"Yeah, look at these muscles" he flexed his one arm and I laughed

"What exactly am I looking at ?"

"I'm offended" he opened the door "come let's go home" he turned to look at me, smiling, causing my heart to beat faster

We then went to the place Sasuke told Boruto to meet him

"Sorry to keep you waiting" Naruto waved at us "here is a little parting gift" he extended his hand

"Thank you" Boruto took the bag from Naruto

"Don't open it yet, safe the surprise for later"

"Got it" Boruto nodded

Sasuke left us and went towards mister Jiraiya, I couldn't hear what they were talking about but mister Jiraiya called Naruto

Sasuke did something and both mister Jiraiya and Naruto collapsed

"What did you do?" Boruto asked in a bit of a panic

We heard footsteps approaching us and went to hide behind a tree

"Did you have to do that?" Boruto whispered

"It couldn't be helped. Besides, we shouldn't get involved with the past. I erased the memory of anyone you came into contact with" Sasuke said as he walked away

'I hope he didn't erase Mieko's memory, and now that I think about I didn't get to say goodbye to the younger version of my mom'

We followed Sasuke as we entered the place we got sucked in with Urashiki

We finally arrived back at the village and it was still night-time, just like it was before we left

"We're back" Boruto shouted pumping his fist in the air

"Boruto! Sasuke! Y/n!" I hear konohamaru sensei "Urashiki has infiltrated the village and it's bad right now"

'What I thought we got rid of him' I thought as I turned to look at Boruto, him doing the same

We both smile as he turns to face konohamaru sensei "that's all over, ya know"

After that, I went to the hospital and they called my mother. As she entered the room I was in she shook her head

"What happened?"

I started explaining everything, how we went back in time, meeting the younger version of her, meeting Mieko, how I broke my leg and how we defeated Urashiki

"And yet time stayed the same here," I said after I finished describing what had happened

"Wow a lot happened," my mother said, I could see she wanted to say something else

"Mother what's bothering you?"

"It's about what happened in the ancestor room, you know they want to talk to you right?"

I hum and look down "I know and I'll talk to them as soon as I talk to Boruto, or finish the conversation we started" I said and after that it was silent before I asked my mother a question " mom you're not angry with the choice I made, are you?"

My mother nods no "kinda wish I did the same back then" my mother stood up "I healed the wounds you had left, restored your chakra as best as I could and your leg will have to heal on its own" my mother walked towards the door "let's go home"

I stood up and followed her as we walked home. Everyone was already asleep so I just went straight to bed

The next morning I woke up but it wasn't early, It was already past noon. I missed my bed more than I thought I did. I got dressed and head downstairs. I see Hiroaki, Izumi, namiko and mieko

"Good morning or good afternoon" I smiled at them as I walked down the stairs. My eyes immediately went to Mieko

"Hey Mieko" I stopped in front of her, she was quiet for a few seconds

"So are you still gonna follow your decision?"

"You remember, I was afraid Sasuke might have wiped your memory" I smiled

"No I still remember" she lifts he head to look at me "and you a whole lot prettier than I thought you were"

Ooh yeah Mieko is blind now and when I saw her in the past she wasn't "thank you Mieko for everything" I hugged her as I walked towards the front door

"Y/n..." Hiroaki's voice stopped me "good luck"

I thanked him and left the house. I take a deep breath and look at the village "I love the past village but I love this one more, it is home after all"

I walked around searching for Boruto but a jounin  called me and said that Naruto wanted to see me

When I arrived I knocked on the hokages office

"Come in"

I enter and as soon as I see Naruto's his younger version of him flash through my mind

"Welcome back, although in the present time you were barely gone" Naruto laughed "unfortunately your punishment only ends today"

Ooh the punishment I got, to stay in the village for a whole month not allowed to leave or do any mission

"you did leave the village, the present village, but you did technically stay in the village just in different time zones so that's fine but you did fight against Urashiki which was a mission and you weren't allowed to BUT you saved the village so y/n your punishment is finished and you're allowed to do missions again and leave the village " he stopped and looked at my leg "after you leg heals"

"Thank you Naruto" I bowed "man I can't believe my punishment ends and now I have to wait for my leg to heal" I groan. I left the hokages office and continued searching for Boruto

I walked past thunder Burger and a smile formed on my face. I entered without thinking twice, and I also saw Boruto

"I missed this place" he said taking a bite

"Can I join you?" I asked causing him to stop taking a bite of his burger and nodded. I took a seat and ordered fries and a burger

"I'm glad we're back" he said as he put down the burger "the noodles were amazing but this" he pointed at the burger "is the best"

I laughed "you like thunder burger a lot" my fries and burger arrived and I also started eating

After we ate the sun was setting

'Already?' I thought as I walked out of thunder burger seeing the sunset. Boruto cleared his throat causing me to stop

"You said that umm when we get back we need to talk"

"Ooh yeah" I said "let's go" I gestured with my head. He then started walking next to me

"Where are we going?"

"The pond" I replied, the one behind my house. Once we got there it was dark and the only light we had was because some rockets had chakra in them, causing them to glow

We both stopped in front of the pond and it went silent, I don't know how to start this conversation
