1. Shaahi Litchi Ya Tikola

Mile sur mera tumhara....to sur bane hamara...to sur bane hamara... the melodious and evergreen voice of Pt.Bhimsen Joshi resonated in the whole house playing over Doordarshan early morning in that chilly winter of January 14th ,1991.

The Sun was out of the sight from the sky from last 4 days with hovering clouds , light thundering , drizzling and no stars at night at all...giving it a gloomy feel and atmosphere around...But it was Makar Sankrati today and how could the Sun does not grace the world with its sunlight today.So he was here finally as the Sun bloomed and glimmered on those who were lingering for it.

"Shagun.....are oh Shagun....are sunti ho....kahan reh gayi....Shagun...hadd hai sunta hi nahi".

"Ye subah subah kya hi buddhu baksa...Idiot box(TV) chalu kar ke baith jati ho..aur koi kaam dhaam nahi hai kya".Vivek shouted to her wife in full volume while decreasing the volume of new branded Onida color TV placed in the hall whose volume was much low than his own voice apparently .

"Kya hai...subah subah kyon gala phad rahe hai...aapki aawaj to TV se bhi jyada tez hai".Shagun spoke coming from the kitchen wiping her hands in her saree's pallu.

"accha...ye apne bhai ka daheji maal ...color TV mil gaya hai to kya din bhar apna sastriya sangeet chalu kar ke baith jaogi".Vivek said to her wife.

"Aap nhi na!!
..Main to ye gaana sunne se jyada ye sari heroein aur hero log ko ek sath dekhne ke liye sunti hoon...aur kabhi dekhe hai itne sare filmi kalakar kabhi ek gaane me aaj tak...main to gin bhi nahi paayi abhi tak ki kitne hai total filmi kalakar isme...bas Amitabh ko dekhte hi reh jati hoon ..aur gaana beet jata hai".Shagun spoke smiling.

"Aur aap to aise bol rahe hai jaise aapke maa baap ne mere maike se dahej liya hi nahi".Shagun eyed him.

"Accha wo sab chhoro...dekho kaun aaya hai".Vivek spoke smiling as Shagun noticed someone standing at the door in his uniform and a suitcase grinning at them.

"Are bhai ji aap".Shagun raced towards him smiling greeting him and bending down to touch his feet in respect.

"Are...are...ye kya kar rahi ho shagun...pair chhu kar mujhe buddha feel karwa rahi ho...ye mat karo".He spoke moving backwards.

"Are buddhe ho aapke dushman...aap to 40 -50 k..chaahe 70 ke bhi ho jayenge kabhi buddhe nahi lagenge...aapke jaisa jawan to poore desh me nahi hoga...aur pair chhuna to banta hai....ab aap jeth(brother in law) lagte hai hamare".Shagun spoke .

"Pehle Tum behen ho meri...haan agar khud ko behen se jyada apne pati ka bada bhai manti hai mujhe to fir alag baat hai...Dekh raha hai Vivek kya bol rahi hai biwi teri".He spoke keeping his luggage at the corner .

"Are theek hi to keh rahi hai bhaiya Shagun....aap par hi gayi hai bilkul...jo dil me wo juban par bhi...bas juban thodi jyada lambi hai iski apni naak ki tarah...kyon Shagun theek kaha na".Vivek chuckled while Shagun eyed at him.

"Sahi ho tumlog bhi...pehle ek doosre ke liye ladte the ...ab ek doosre se lad rahe ho...pyar shadi ke baad badal jaata hai..sahi suna hai".He spoke looking at Shagun and Vivek.

"Uff...kitne papad bele hai tum dono ke chhaje chhaje(roof) ke pyar ko arrange marriage bana kar shadi karwane me maine...kitne farzi khat(letter) likhe hai Shagun aur tumne mere naam par..poora chhittha(lot) jama hai...aur ye dekho....but it feels great...shadi ke ek saal nahi hue....ek bacche ke maa baap bhi bam gaye..fir bhi bacchon jaise lad rahe ho".He laughed.

"Aap rehne dijiye bhai ji...aapki shadi hogi tab dekhenge...aap kaunsa kam hai...gussa to aapke naak par nahi ravan ke 10 sir jaisa baitha rehta hai".Shagun rolled her eyes.

"pehli baat main to shadi karoonga nahi aur agar galti se kar bhi liya to....ye gussa wala drama hoga nahi mujhse...silence is the best medicine for me..jo kaam hamari chuppi kar sakti hai wo to koi Brahmastra bhi nahi kar sakta.....to main to baat hi karna chhor doon ...gussa ..tamasha aur wapas peeche mud kar dekhna Sidharth Rajput ki aadat nahi hai".He spoke.
