Ace and I talked for what it felt like forever until it started to get dark. We said our goodbyes but not before getting each other's numbers. And that bring us here, Miles and I sat in the car as miles drove down the busy streets of New York. The many different types of cars drove passed as if they were in a hurry. The beauty of nature surrounds us. The night sky was dark and painted with stars that shone above as they cascaded up in the sky.

My eyes helped themselves to the beauty sitting next to me. Miles's left hand was on the steering wheel and his other hand sat on the gear shift. His eyebrows were pinched together as he concentrated on the road ahead of him.

He leaned back in the seat driving effortlessly. He did everything so effortlessly. His hand reaches up and pushes the ink-colored hair out of his eyes. As his hands ran through his hair the muscles in his arms flexed from underneath his dress shirt. "You're staring" he commented without looking away from the road. He placed his hand back down on the gear shift.

I rolled my eyes, my staring probably filled his ego. "Yeah there's something on you're face" I smirked cheekily but all he did was roll his beautiful eyes. "Yeah okay, dumbass" I scoffed at the name he's just used for me.

"I'm the dumbass?" I questioned knowingly. He nodded and smiled a bit before it quickly disappeared like usual. He's gotten so much better at smiling around me. I'm hoping he'll eventually drop his guard completely, but baby steps I keep telling myself.

"You're definitely the dumbass," he said playfully. I punched his arm "Ouch" he said while he rubbed his arm over the skin I had just punched. "That's what you get asshole" This only made me laugh harder.

He stayed silent for a minute before speaking again. "Who was that girl you were talking to?" He finally asked. His question made a smile crawl its way onto my face. "So you were paying attention to me" I chuckled.

"But to answer your question, she's Matteo's..." I trailed off "Girlfriend" I finished my sentence.

"Girlfriend?!" Miles asked, finally turning his head to me. I nodded and he turned his attention back to the road. "I didn't know he was with anyone" I laughed "Neither did I" I snorted and Miles cracked a small smile.

Ace and Matteo made it work, even when Matteo was going through so much at home, even when the entire world was against them. They made it work. It started to make me wonder, could me and Miles work?

I didn't even know what we were, were we still only pretending? Where are we something more? Could I deny the affection I feel towards him? Questions flooded my head.

I had to ask him.

Asking him would be the only way I could get answers. But how could I possibly ask him when I didn't even know how he felt? I turned to Miles, his attention was towards to road, not paying me any.
