To: @staffEsteemed faculty,
We applaud your continuous cooperation with social-distancing and the mask mandate, however our efforts were not enough.
As coronavirus (COVID-19) begins to make its way into the borders of Canada, the British Columbia Centre for Disease Control advises that in-person gatherings are to be reduced as much as possible.
Due to the worsening conditions and the rapid surge of cases, all on-campus classes will be moving onto an online platform.
We understand that this is a big change for our on-campus faculty. Lesson plans will have to be adjusted and transcribed to fit an online format.
However, most of you have already been using the university's online assignment and turn-in system, so it should be rather easy to transfer over.
If you still need further assistance, your teacher-assistants have already been informed and are prepped and ready to help you make this adjustment.
Classes are to resume remotely on the 14th of September , 2020.
Your cooperation is much appreciated,
President Sarai Selassie
