Chapter 31

One week later:

 "Button mash all you want, MK, you'll never beat my Ancient Galloping Fury Power!" Mei coos teasingly to her friend as she stares at the screen "Up smash, up smash!" Sandy said In an attempt to help his friend with Mo sitting on his shoulder "I'm trying, Sandy! Okay?! I'm trying, I'm trying!"MK said his cries desperate as he tried to beat the female teen, his boot and cast gone replaced with just an ankle brace. Mei let's out an evil laugh, the female not looking the slightest bit fazed, whilst MK was sweating nervously, "No one can defeat me!" Mei said smiling, just as she was about to finish MK's character off the sound of her phone ringing stops her, the others look down in curiosity as Mei pulls out her phone the teens face falls at the image on her phone and walks off to answer the phone, her tone sounding very unenthusiastic

As the girl walked off, MK looked at Mei's defenseless character then back to his character and let out a sigh knowing that it won't be fair if he defeats her character when she's not here no matter how badly he wants to win 'despite how much I want to win my friend is more important than winning' MK thought as he watch the time run out and the game automatically made Mei's character the winner. Soon the dragon girl came back "They want me to housesit" Mei said with a frown "And, that's a bad thing?" Sandy asks in confusion "No!" Mei quickly answers, chuckling nervously. "Uh...me and parents...we're--" but MK interrupts her "Uh, did Mei say...sleepover at her house?!" MK said a bright smile on his face 

"Wha-?! NO! My parents wouldn't want-" Mei tried to say trying to stop MK from getting Sandy on board with the idea but MK interrupts her again "Sleepover!!" MK interrupted with a cheer "Come on Mei! Please? We always have sleepovers at my house! This'll be our first sleepover at your house, please!!" MK said giving Mei his biggest puppy dog eyes. Mei tries to stay strong but the dragon girl was no match for MKs puppy eyes 'Curse my weakness for cuteness!' Mei thought as she finally caved in "Sleepover it is" Mei said letting out a sigh. MK cheered "This sleepover is going to be the best! I'll bring my Monkey King DVDs so we can have a marathon! It'll be great!" MK said hugging Mei, and with that MK raced off to get his things ready

Later MK and Sandy were outside of Mei's house, as Sandy rang the doorbell a multitude of weapons were pointed at them both the teen and water spirit jump back in fright then they all shut off, and the door opened up to reveal Mei "Sorry about that guys, my parents are kinda' big on security" Mei said apologizing "it's alright Mei, now let's get this sleepover rolling!" MK said with a smile and the three headed inside with Mei leading them to the Game room. Once they entered the game room MK and Sandy placed their overnight bags next to the couch "Alright, you two boot up the ol' TV! I will get us some s-na-na-nacks!" Mei said and the two males watch dragon girl run to the Game Room entrance

"Don't break anything while I'm gone!" Mei called out and left "'Don't break anything while I'm gone,'" MK said letting out a scoff while waving a hand of dismissal "Yeah right, everything will be a-oka--" the boy is cut off by the sound of a snap, and the two looks down at the Pinball Machine handel in MK's hand, both of them paling in horror at the sight of the broken machine "Oh no, Mei's going to be so mad!!" Sandy said scared to imagine a angry dragon girl "it's okay, don't panic, I can fix this! I learned this yesterday!" MK said placing the handle back on, the water spirit watch as the teen did some sort of golden magic, and the handle reattached itself to the machine, looking just as it did before "see, good as new!" MK said testing it out to prove his point 

"Whoa, that's amazing!" Sandy said staring at the fixed pinball machine in awe "yeah, I'm still practicing it still" MK said scratching the back of his head. Then Mei came back with a mountain of snacks in her arms "I got the snacks guys, who's ready for a movie marathon!!" Mei said dumping the snacks on the table "we are!!" MK and Sandy said and the three began their movie marathon. During part of their movie marathon Mei looked at MK "so, learned anything new from Monkey King?" She asked making the teen look at her "well, I can fix things easily but I'm still learning how to use it" MK said, then he remembered something "Oh, and I also learned this a week ago" MK said standing up "really what is it?" Sandy asked looking at the teen in intrest along with Mei "watch this!" MK said with a smirk, then his shadow grew bigger underneath him and he fell into the dark shadow under him scaring the dragon girl and the water spirit 

"MK!!!" Mei and Sandy said staring at the dark shadow where MK was not knowing that there shadows were moving on there own and stretched to a nearby wall "over here" MK voice called out making the two turn around to see a shadow silhouette of MK with two golden eyes starting at them with a smile, soon MK pulled himself off the wall and turned back to normal "tada!!" MK said still smiling "MK...that...was....AWESOME!!!!! I didn't know that the Monkey King could do that!!!" Mei said with stars in her eyes "well, he doesn't...actually" MK said pressing his fingers together "huh?" Mei and Sandy said confused "well, don't tell anyone but....I'm training with another master" MK said whispering the last part. Mei and Sandy let out a long dramatic gasp "you're two-timing with Monkey King?!?!?!" Mei said in shock "no, no I'm not! He's just helping me train my shadow powers!" MK quickly said 

"Huh, shadow powers?" Sandy asked confused, MK looked at them and sighed "my other masters name is Macaque and he has shadow powers just like mine, and he's teaching me how to control them" MK said not wanting to tell them that his teacher was actually his mother "really?" Mei said blinking "yeah, but you have to keep this a secret from everyone alright, I don't want everyone freaking out about this, okay" MK said looking at Mei and Sandy sternly, Mei and Sandy looked at each other for a bit and back to MK "alright, we promise" Mei said while Sandy nodded, MK smiled at his friends "now let's get back to our movie marathon!" Mei said and drags MK back onto the couch where they continued watching the movie
