Chapter 68

Monkey King grunts as he holds up a spike ceiling trap threatening to crush him, then he saw a familiar sparks of golden magic in front of him and saw a golden projection of MK "Monkey King, it worked!" The teen said smiling at his achievement "hey bud, glad to see you've figured out astral projections!" He said proudly, quickly pushing the spike ceiling trap above him away before rolling out the way of it. MK quickly shuffled back so him and the gold projection wouldn't collide "yeah, and I only had five nosebleeds!" MK said wiping the thin trail of blood from his nose "that's great- wait, five?!" Monkey King said his tail puffing up "bud that's incredibly unsafe!" The copper simian said in worry for his son health "but I'm fine, really" MK said smiling at his dad "but enough about me, how's you're vacation, how are you, it's so good to see you!" MK said smiling. But before the copper simian could answer he had to duck, not realizing that he'd set off another trap, he grabs a large piece of flat stone and used it as a shield "is everything alright Monkey King?" MK asked raising an eyebrow "yeah I'm fine bud, you just called me at a bad time right now" Monkey King said using the flat stone to stop a barrage of poisonous darts

"Really, what's happening?" MK asked starting to get worried "ahh it's nothing too serious, just exploring a temple and I kind of accidentally set off a few traps" Monkey King said knowing what he said wasn't a total lie "oh, well I'm just worried is all, I mean, I haven't heard from you in a while, and my training's-" but Monkey King cut him off as he stops a large boulder in his way "yeah i'm sure Macaques is keeping you on your toes, remember, you can do it, trust your instincts" Monkey King said punching the boulder making it crumble into pieces, MK looked away rubbing his shoulder "how about shrinking your staff and shadow staff" Monkey King said, MK grinned "you mean like this?" He said, spinning a shrunk version of both staffs in either hand letting out a laugh "alright smart guy, try shrinking yourself then!" Monkey King said holding off two separate walls away that threatened to squish him "myself, how am I meant to learn that?" MK asked putting his staffs away "ah, you'll figure it out, just think...LITTLE!!" Monkey King said using his strength to push the walls away but was failing "oh uh, my masseuse is here gotta run, tell Macaque I said hi and I love him!" Monkey King pushing the walls just enough for him to sprint away further into the temple "there's a masseuse in there?" MK asked in confusion just as the walls crushed the astral projection of the teen

MK groans as the projection ended 'great, more advice that doesn't make sense' MK thought slumping a little, he shoves his hands in his pockets and heads back to the noodle shop

Monkey King tumbles out to the ground for a bit before getting up dusting himself off, he turns to the throne room and saw the mural of The Lady Bone Demon "so, what are you hiding?" The copper simian asked staring at the mural, he charges towards the mural and punches it hard destroying it as a large skull appeared screaming

The girl held up her arms, eyes glowing blue as her hair was blown by the slight wind created by the glowing blue chi symbols she had created in front of the giant blue mech hologram. The eight powerful artifacts hovered next to it, the box, Crimson jimson weed, The Blood Amulet, The Dagger of Venom, The Eye of Black Obsidion, The Demon Revealing Mirror, a claw blade, and Monkey King's staff "I don't know who taught you to take revenge, but it ain't normally this boring! Can we hurry this along?" Spider Queen said hanging upside down her arms crossed, The girl blinked, her eyes no longer glowing blue as the projections move to the final one on the right, stopping in front of the girl "with time and patience, the mulberry leaf becomes a silk gown" she said as she spun a small part of the projection in front of her, the amulet, staff, crimson weed, stone, dagger, and claw coming forward "there are still six items we have yet to add to the furnace, destiny cannot be hurried my queen" the girl said turning towards the spider demoness "so you keep saying, well my patience is growing thin little miss mystery "at least lighten up a little, you're creepy whisper business is getting on my nerves" Spider Queen adds as the girl turns back to the furnace visibly annoyed
