[bonus chapter] 𝐥𝐞𝐭'𝐬 𝐠𝐨 𝐨𝐧 𝐚 𝐯𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧

placing down his shirt aside the chair. he jumped down on his bed.
umeji's exhausted body blended with the mattress. his mind just like everyday and every hour thinking of his girlfriend he just dreamed of.

"ah.." -happy sigh automatically left his mouth

however, his eyebrows narrowed along with his forehead.

something has been bugging him for a while. he has everything he needs. umeji has never been happier in his life.
one girl has changed everything for him.

but there was that odd feeling. weird and concerning gut in his stomach.

"i hate this." -he murmured frustrated

"every damn night. for fucks sake!" -umeji whisper yelled and covered his eyes, trying to relax

"whatever, i'll just sleep it off."

with the last words he tucked himself in. thinking of his only love to bring him peaceful sleep and forget this feeling. whatever it is.

"morning.." -umeji weakly mumbled walking inside the kitchen

"morning son.' -dai cheerfully replied

he sat down, at the table. blankly staring at one spot.

dai has immediately noticed something is wrong. she walked up to him on her tip toes and slided down a cup of coffee where he was staring at.

umeji immediately zoomed back in and smiled.

"thanks mom."

"so? you and y/n had your first fight?" -dai sympathetically asked with a soft smile

"what?"

"what??"

he gave her confused look. one eyebrow up and he pressed down his lips together.

"uhh..well what else could be making you so worried?" -she asked, awkwardly

"oh? you noticed?" -he said, a bit in surprise

"i am your mom after all." -she laughed

"i've been meaning to ask you but..it's just hard to explain." -he truthfully answered
"i see. is it maybe about ayano?"
"mom, you are a terrible guesser." -umeji laughed loudly
"oh shut it! at least im trying!"

umeji shook his head with a smile. then his long fingers wrapped themselves around the cup. getting ahold of it and drinking the bitter-sweet liquid he loved so much.

"well, it's just that weird feeling i have in my stomach. i tried to shook it off but it just doesn't work."
"what is it about?" -she asked intrigued
"i feel like i..forgot something..?"
"forgot, what?"
"that's the problem! i don't know, i just dont remember."
"oh uh." -dai said
"what??"
"forgetting a date important to a girl is a death wish, my son." -dai placed down her hands on the table and then playfully saluting to her soon
"ughh..you aren't helping! it's not her birthday! it's not our anniversary! what can it be? her plants half birthday?" -he groaned in annoyance of his own self but dai just laughed at him
"welcome to dating world." -she stood up heading up to the living room, but stopping just before she exited the kitchen
"but you better remember."

dai winked and walked away.

"what a help you are, mom."

he stayed in silence for a while. slightly banging his head against the wooden desk.

'fuck this. i'll just go watch the tv with mom.' -he thought angrily and made his way to the couch

"mom-"
"shhh! i'm watching the news."

blonde boy rolled his eyes and threw himself on the couch. his head turned around facing the flashy screen.

"..and on today's urgent news. we are reporting from here that 2 local students found a dead body in the what seemed to be an old hospital."

"oh?" -dai and umeji both said at the same time. she quickly turned the volume up.

"they say, innocently wandering around tokyo they found the most horrific sight they will never be able to recover from. we are unable to show it without censoring almost the whole body. due the very disturbing content."

camerman along with two police officers and a very brave reporter have occupied the screen as the other male reporter has taken the lead.

"we are currently near the body. police has discovered the identity of the victim. please officer, tell us everything you found out."

"the victim is brutally tortured. what seems like to be days and was left to die with zero food or water."

umeji's jaw dropped as he listened and couldn't believe. his mother with her eyeballs almost popping out stared at umeji in disbelief.

"we found her tied up and already dead. it seems like she was in this state for days now. but no wonder this was the target."

"and why do you say that?"

"from my perspective it is all about politics. the victim was a very wealthy woman. actually daughter from saiko. company that owns the tokyo. at this point anyone could do it. there is no trace or evidence for anything, just true violence and hatred. it may be a rivalry or competition. that's all we have for now."

"thank you sir, for your time. more about this on evening news at 7 pm."

dead silence between the two as their horrified faces stared frozen as the ads on tv started playing.

"buy 1 get 2 for free!! always affordable! let's not miss out our summer-"

dai turned it off. her deadly eyes slowly found their way to umeji's who were already looking at her.

"i..i think.." -he gulped, too scared to speak

"mom..i think i remembered what i forgot.." -he wined

"YOU THINK?!"

"umeji, i dont understand.." -y/n tilted her head
"i'm just feeling stressed that's all. so let's go on a vacation love." -he smiled sweetly, but he was dying inside
"you decided it, just like that?" -she giggled
"yep. this morning. no other particular reason. just to spend more time with you too." -he hugged her tightly
"aww you are so sweet. but..why china?" -she curiously asked
"felt like going in other country for a while." -he laughed nervously
"if that's what you want babe." -she smiled brightly and kissed his nose

"oh by the way."
"yes, darling?"
"have you seen the news?
"uh..what news?"
"about megami. she was found dead in an old hospital"
"really? would never guess. princess please pack everything by tonight."
