Chapter 29

It had been an emotional day for all and they were all exhausted.

As Sienna lay in her bed in the ICU she was still very weak with tears in her eyes. She turned to Mark "go home get some sleep it's not like I'm going anywhere."

Mark chuckled "I'm not leaving. You didn't leave me when I was here so I'm not leaving you."

"I'm fine really I just need to get some sleep and anyways how am I supposed to sleep with them big blue eyes staring at me all night." She said as she held his hand.

"You sleep alright the past few days with me staring at you." Mark said trying the lift her mood some.

She gave a light smile. Mark could see how tired she was in her eyes which were clouded by tears.

"Ok I'm going to take a walk until you fall asleep then I'll be back."

"Just make sure that walk home. Believe me I'm OK." Sienna said weakly

"There's no point of arguing with you." Mark said as he leaned in to kiss her.

"I love you" Sienna mouthed as she caressed his cheek.

"To the moon and back." Mark said as he brushed her hair back with his hands.

As he left the room he closed the door. Once Mark was out of sight the tears started to roll down her check as she sobbed she placed her hand where her small bump was a few days before.

2 days later

It was morning rounds and Sienna's mood was a little better. She was sitting up in the bed reading the monthly edition of rolling stone magazine. As she was humming Everywhere by Fleetwood MAC.

"We need radios in the ICU I miss music" she said as he flicked the page and return to humming.

"Yeah the atmosphere in here is drab." Callie joked.

"Morning" the chief and Bailey called out as the entered the room followed by the usual crowd.

"Morning" Sienna deadpanned has she just prepared for someone to list for her case and for everyone to leave.

"So how are you feeling?" Bailey asked.

"You'd get more excitement in a cemetery than you would in this room." She complained as she continued reading which made a few of the residents giggle. Bailey gave them one of her famous looks to shut them up.

"How would you like a change of scenery then?"

"Really what am I getting a wheelchair express trip around the halls and back again."

"No Connors we are moving you out of the ICU." The chief chuckled.

Sienna closed the magazine "well lets get me out of here then."

Mark had pulled Meredith, Justin and Callie outside of the ICU to talk to them.

"Meredith is there any chance you could store a few things for me in your attic. It all the stuff we bought for Eve I don't want Sienna to come home and having to see it all lying around the place."

"Yeah I've plenty of space in my attic you can bring it over anytime."

"Do you mind if we do it tonight?" Justin asked "we boxed some stuff up last night."

"Whoa hold on a second you can't do that on her Mark."

"Do what?" Justin asked.

"Box everything up and put it out of sight. That will hurt more than going back to the apartment and seeing it just like she left it. You need to leave a few things, stuff that meant a lot to her. Like the pink bear that was the first thing bought for your daughter and you bought it. And the ultrasound pictures the one on her bedside locker and the one on the refrigerator that she hid in cupboard when Derek swung by after work one day. So they stay."
