CHAPTER 22

"Iris, gising na.." Yohan poked my waist.

I groaned. "Five minutes.."

" May bagong kaso ka pa diba?," he reminded..

Labag man sa kalooban ay bumangon ako. Ngayon ko pala kakausapin ang aking kliyente.I am still naked under the sheets. He pulled me in bathroom and we showered together.

Sabay kaming nagbihis at sabay din kaming natapos. Inihanda ko na ang gamit ko. Mas mauuna kasi akong aalis ngayon.

I kissed his lips and turned my back. I was ready to leave when he called my name.

"Iris."

"Yes?" I glanced at him.

He gulped." 'Yung mukha mo..put concealer," turo niya sa mukha ko.

Gumuhit ang matinding sakit sa aking dibdib pero hindi ko iyon pinansin. I just smiled and did what he said. Pagkatapos ay nagpaalam na ako sa kaniya bago umalis.

"Good morning, attorney.." salubong sa akin ng sekretarya ko.

Ngumiti ako at bumati pabalik.

I sat on my swivel shair and started working. Nakakapagod. Pakiramdam ko ay nawawalan ako ng lakas nitog nakaraang araw. I need to work faster so I'd go home early, so he won't get mad.

Ilang oras ang nakalipas ay bumukas ang pintuan. Adonis walked inside and his eyes immediately caught mine.

Something was wrong.

Kumunot ang aking noo nang lumapit siya sa akin.

He looks so frustrated.

Kumuha siya ng wipes na nasa table ko. I was surprised by what he did next. Hindi ko na siya napigilan nang burahin niya ang concealer sa aking mukha. He has a pained expression as he wiped the concealer off my face.

When he saw the cuts and bruises,  his jaw clenched.

"He did this, right?"

Nag-iwas ako ng tingin.

"Don't even think of lying. Your sister told me about it. Don't hate her. I forced her."

He looked at me problematically.

"Iris naman.." his voice cracked. "Why are you doing this to yourself?" hirap na hirap niyang tanong.

"That assholes layed his hand on you. He's no good for you," dagdag niya.

"He loves me," pumiyok ang aking boses.

"But you don't hurt the one you love.."

I shook my head repeatedly. "You don't get it..He didn't mean to hurt me, okay?" I explained.

Disappointment was visible on his face.

"F–ck, what am I going to do with you, Iris?"

He pulled me in to a hug. Hindi na ako nakapagsalita. I hugged him back and I immediately felt comfort.

I froze when the door opened.

"Assh–le!" Yohan cursed as he punch Adonis hardly. Galit na galit ang kaniyang mukha na para bang makakapatay na siya ng tao.

Tumili ako. Adonis stood up and punched him back.

"You're the assh–le here," he gritted his teeth.

Yohan punched him again on the face. Bumagsak na naman sa sahig si Adonis. Yohan walked towards him so I immediately held his hand. Marahas niya akong tinulak na parang hindi niya ako kilala.
