"Ah!" Cassie squealed with some uncontrollable giggles as Benedict dipped her at the end of their - what seemed like - hundredth song they danced to. He laughed as he pulled her back up against his chest. Both of them had sweat gleaming on their heads, but weren't tired. Actually, both of them wanted to continue!

"Can I get you a drink?" He asked. Cassie could tell he wasn't used to this: flirting. He was incredibly awkward when he attempted it, but she thought is was adorable. The effort he was trying to make made him even more attractive.

"I would love one," she told him. He led them to the bar with his hand respectfully on her back. She ordered something other than a fruity drink this time, for the sake of her hangover in the morning. Benedict paid for them, then clinked their glasses before taking a sip.

They ended up sitting at the bar for a while just talking. He asked about her, but she wasn't exactly truthful. She's learned over the years - from just being a woman - to lie when she knew she would never see a man again. So, she told him she was already a college graduate, simply trying to make her way up to being a professional writer in New York City.

He was very intrigued in her writing since he was an English Professor. They talked each other's ears off about different types of literature, their favorite authors and about what she was currently writing. He very much wanted to read her stuff, which flattered her. Even though she did have her laptop with her, she lied and told him she left it at home so she couldn't show him.

She was pretty picky when it came to who read her stories.

They were so enamored with talking, they went back over to the water to have some piece and quiet away from the music. Benedict loosened up after answering some questions about himself and of course after a few drinks.

After nearly two hours of talking, they ended up staring out into the ocean in comfortable silence. Benedict was the first to break it by saying, "I've been here for about a week and this is the best night I've had. Thank you."

She smiled at him as she said, "You're very welcome. It's only my second night, but it'll be the highlight of the trip, I know that."

He shyly waved her off as if to say, 'you don't mean that'.

She leaned into him, bumping him a little on purpose. "Stop doing that," she told him. "Take the compliment! Be happy you're alive and laughing on a beach in Mexico. No need to be down in the dumps tonight."

He smiled fondly at her. "You are absolutely right. I apologize."

She shook her head at him. "No need to apologize."

They couldn't help their growing smiles as they stared into each other's eyes. Unfortunately, Cassie had to unwillingly drag her's away when she heard her name. Casey and Breck were holding up a very drunk Katie and calling her over.

She sighed and looked back to Benedict. "I'm sorry," she told him. "It looks like my friends need my help. How long are you here for?"

He helped her stand up as he said, "Three more days. Yourself?"

She felt sad when she told him, "Two weeks."

He cleared his throat. "Right. Well, I really hope to run into you again. Better yet, um...would you like my number?"

She was internally screeching at how adorable this man was. Normally, she would steer clear from giving a random guy her number, but she really wanted to keep in touch with him and keep talking. So, she stuck her hand out and he immediately started to fumble for his phone.

She took it from him and punch in her number. She gave it back to him after calling herself to save his number. "I'll call you," he told her as she walked away.

When she got up to her friends, Casey defensively asked, "Who is that?" She shook her head at him and turned her focus to Katie.

From the state of her, this was going to be a long night.
