Today's the big day. Caprice's trial has been in swing for a few weeks now, but Magenta just now got into town yesterday. They got through jury selection and opening statements. Now it's time for her to take the stand along with a slew of other victims to tell their side. For Magenta this'll be her second time around...

In her Los Angeles hotel room, she gets ready for the unwanted spotlight. With a frustrated groan she tries to reach around to zip up the back of the hound's-tooth print dress her attorney picked. It's not enough that she already feels like a seal in everything she tried on. Gen gives up deciding to wait for Gee to come back.

Today's August 10th which is the 222nd day of the year. It's also a few days short of the anniversary the actual assault occurred on. She doesn't know if that's good or bad luck. A lot of mixed emotions.

It's not enough everything going on with her family. Most people would assume the trial should be postponed after Caprice's soon-to-be ex-wife was killed. People might assume she won't testify anymore with a family tragedy..

But his defense is going to use it to their advantage. They want the jury to feel sorry for him. Maybe they can get leniency. His infant child is in the hospital recovering after being shot three times in the leg. Like always, Caprice is thinking about how this can benefit him.

Everyone else is tired of dragging this case on. And the judge is offering no more continuances.

Gen pauses from doing her hair to look at the news. Of course the biggest headline today is this trial as they discuss what they expect from it...
