Shinunoga E-wa- Fujii Kaze (my favorite song atm)
TW: ED

She woke up feeling better than she had felt the past few days. The sunlight hit her face making her smile. It had been a while since the sun was out. As she inhaled the crisp morning air she forgot about what was going to happen that day.

School.

Savannah was still sleeping as she made her way out of her arms and into the bathroom. After doing her business, washing her hands and face and brushing her teeth, she went back out to change. Savannah was still sleeping and Fuji smiled at the peacefulness that radiated off of her. She seemed so happy in her sleep.

Fuji pulled on a jumper just in case it was too cold outside and went downstairs to get breakfast. She felt like she could eat again.

She was wrong. The moment she picked up the fork, she felt the need to empty her already empty stomach. Her heart sank in disappointment, of course she wouldn't get better in a day. Shaking her head to get rid of all the bad thoughts, she got ready for the day and began to pack her bag for school.

She hadn't been going, but she knew she had to go back soon enough. She just couldn't be there without him. The girl doubted any way she could survive throughout the day. It would be too painful. But feeling nothing at all was too terrifying for her so she decided to just face all her fears.

The ride to school was short and she was grateful because of the cold wind biting at her delicate flesh. She could see her own breath in front of her and she couldn't feel her hands even though they were covered with gloves. She looked up at the brick building in front of her and she felt a sting in her chest.

Everyone around her began to stare, not expecting the small girl to arrive on such a big bike. Also because they knew how close she was with Apollo Vietto. They were all shocked to hear the news and since everyone knew him, what happened to him spread throughout the whole school pretty fast. Most of them pretended like they were close friends with him, posting words that meant nothing to their social media, knowing that he never even talked to them once. He had only stuck to a small group of people but the way things were going, one would assume everyone in the whole damn school was his friend.

As the small girl sucked in a sharp breath trying to ignore all the stares she began to remember her first day and how awkward she felt, but then she met her Ollie. And now he was gone, and she felt like it was the first day al over again.

"Stop thinking about him-him," she muttered to herself forcing her feet to lead her into the building. A familiar voice made her jerk her head up.

"Yo, princess, wait up!" Joey ran up to catch up to the girl. Fuji tried to send her a big smile but even she couldn't even convince herself that it was real. Joey frowned, realizing why the usual bright and happy girl looked absolutely crushed. She was cautious when she brought it up.

"I heard what happened, I'm so sorry," she offered Fuji a hug which the girl gratefully accepted. Staying in her embrace for a beat too long, Fuji felt her nose start to ache and a feel strong urge to start bawling her eyes out in front of the entrance to school. But she bit her lip and forced her tears to retreat back into her eyes and pulled away.

"Thanks, I-I really needed that," Fuji said quietly, her voice wobbling slightly. She fiddled with her fingers not able to look Joey in the eyes, too afraid that she was going to fall apart any moment.

"Of course, I'll always be here for you, princess, I promise," Joey said, lifting her pinky making Fuji's lips turn up into a small smile. She linked her small pinky with Joey's, feeling a lot better than she did a few seconds ago.
