Counting Stars- BE'O (wish i could listen to this for the first time again)
"Fuck you, pussy!" Luca screamed at Oliver, his face was red and his brows were furrowed with anger. He looked like he was able to lurch across the table and punch the boy in the face.
Fuji laughed.
"Go sit on a cactus," Oliver grumbled in response. Luca gasped, offended. Milo just stared at them amused. He still hadn't talked to Fuji. Once she came back to the apartment, she made sure to avoid him at all costs. He tried to talk to her, tried to apologize, but she avoided him like the plague. He couldn't think of anything that could forgive his unforgivable actions. There was no denying that he had been a bit too forceful last night. He wanted to get down on his knees and beg for forgiveness, but he couldn't even do that when she wouldn't let him near her.
Even that morning, she gave him breakfast and mumbled she would be in her room. She didn't come out until Luca announced that Oliver would be coming over for lunch. He didn't approve of the plan, he didn't want the destructive boy near them, but he had no say.
Fuji was ecstatic. She's been so happy since Oliver whisked her away the other night when Luca's more permanent fuck buddy stayed over to have dinner. She was here more often, it seemed as if she was living here, too. It was shocking to see her going back to her own house. But she apparently didn't like meeting new people, if he had known that, he would've brought Oliver here a while ago. He was beginning to be tired of new people, too.
Especially when the one person he knew the most, the one person he exposed himself to, hated him. It was a horrible feeling knowing someone you valued, hate you. It made him want to scream but he kept his cool as he watched Fuji interact with Oliver.
It was obvious who she had chose, but he couldn't figure out why.
All the boy had done was break her heart, step on it, and laugh. On the other hand, he had been the one who mended it, he had been the one who helped it heal and grow its wall thicker. Milo just didn't expect to be the one who was being shut out. He didn't expect to be building the wall between them.
"I can't believe you did that!" Luca shouted, a harsh laugh leaving his lips.
"Let's not fight, your foods getting cold," Fuji says softly. She was too nice.
"He started it," Oliver rolled his eyes like a child. She felt her lips twitch into a smile. She shook her head, twisting her fork in her pasta. She watched the three boys, her heart full. She hadn't seen this scene since high school. But still, her heart was heavy. She didn't know what to do about Milo. It was confusing knowing that if he was being serious last night, he wouldn't be a constant in her life anymore. It wasn't fair to him, and she was being a bitch by choosing someone he had to watch destroy her, but she couldn't help it. She knew that if she were to choose Milo, she would never be able to reciprocate the deep love he held for her. She hated to admit it, but her Ollie was the only one that she would give her love to.
"Bullshit, you're the one who took my pickle!" Luca's face was getting red. Fuji giggled, taking a pickle from the pickle jar and handing it to the angry boy. Immediately, his face changed into a grin, it was like watching a cartoon. This made her laugh harder, she gave him another pickle.
"Thanks Fuji, you're the only one who's nice here," he sticks his tongue out at Oliver.
"Sorry," Oliver looked amused. But Luca didn't see the smirk on his face and accepted the 'much-needed' apology. Fuji shook her head with a sigh, forking more pasta into her mouth. She loved to cook, and it was merely a bonus that she was good at it. In the next life, she wanted to be a chef. She loved food and the different ways it could be used. After recovering from her ED, she realized how happy food made her. There were certain times where she would still hear the nagging in her head, but she ignored it. She learned to laugh at it. It was funny how her thoughts could bully her. But she didn't tell anyone that.
