I remember the warmth of the sun on my face when the dropship doors first opened. I remember the joy, fear, and disbelief that I felt. I loved everything about Earth.

But God, do I hate mount weather.

"They killed Fox," O mutters to me, her black face paint making me jealous. "And they're going to kill more of our people." She spits out.

I nod along while Clarke just sighs.

"What's wrong with you?" Octavia asks, her voice rising. My gaze flickers to Bell, but he's already looking at me.

He reaches over and grabs my hand and squeezes.

"We just lost!" Clarke screams out, not caring about the mountain men. "Okay? Our army is gone, our people are gone!" She continues screaming and flailing her arms.

Walk in front of Clarke, obscuring her vision so she can only see my face. "Hey, hey, hey," I coo, "It's okay, we don't an army." I say and her glassy eyes narrow in confusion.

"What?" She murmurs, her voice thick.

"I said," I emphasise my voice, "That we don't need an army because you and I are stronger than every one of these stupid mountain men."

"Don't forget us," Bellamy says, amusement lacing his tone. A small smirk spreads across my face as I turn to him.

"Yeah," I sigh, smiling, "Don't forget about them, Blondie." I turn back to her. After a few moments, Bellamy and the others disperse, while Clarke, O, and I stay outside of the harvest chamber.

"I'm fine with taking out the mountain men." O says, her voice gravely. "You guys go to the control room, I'll hold down the main hall with Ravi." She says before handing me a small jar.

My eyebrows furrow as I glance at Clarke. "Charcoal." Octavia says while smirking at me.

I nod to myself before I take off the lid and dip my finger in. I cover my eyelids and I draw a line down my chin to the bottom of my throat.

I turn to Clarke with a questioning stare, but she declines, so I hand it back to O and we part ways.

"Come on," I say to Clarke before taking off towards the control room.

---------------

We split up on the way. I access the control room with my broadsword's help and Clarke gets Dante.

Just as I was rounding a corner to a long hallway, I'm knocked off my feet. My back hits the ground and the breath is knocked out of my lungs. As I'm sitting up and reaching for my broadsword, a boot slams down on my arm and a crunch emits from it.

I grit my teeth in pain as I glare up through my eyelashes at Ravi, which causes me to roll my eyes.

"Y'know," He smirks, lifting his foot off of my arm. I sigh to myself as I can practically smell his monologue coming.
