DARKNESS SURROUNDED YOU everywhere, you couldn't understand where you are at the moment. You looked around and then sighed in annoyance, "Welp, apparently I'm dead. They better take care of my brat or else-..." Your thoughts stopped as you hear loud noises around you.
"What the hell?!"
You could feel someone poking your cheek which annoyed you more. Suddenly, there was a bright light surrounding you and the noises became more clare now...
"SUMA! STOP CRYING LIKE A BABY!"
"OWW! STOP HITTING ME ON MY HEAD!"
"You two stop fighting!"
The screams came from Suma, Makio, and Hinatsuru, but the poking... "When is mama going to wake up?" Megumi asked, still poking your cheek with his finger. Someone else sighed, "You must stop that, Megumi. Your mother will wake up soon." It was Uzui who spoke up, his voice was pretty close to you.
"Nah, mama is a deep sleeper. She only wakes up when I poke her cheeks." Megumi said, still continuing to poke you. You groaned and forced your eyes open, "Can't I get some sleep?" You grumbled, placing your arm over your eyes.
"Mama? You're awake?" Megumi asked you, pushing your arm away. You sighed and looked at him, "Yes brat, I'm awake." You replied, slowly sitting up. Megumi didn't say anything and just hugged you, taking you off guard. A very faint smile formed on your face as you hugged him back, "I'm happy to see you too, dumpling." You replied and pulled him away, seeing small tears in his eyes. You wiped his tears away, "Men do not cry, Megumi." You teased with a smirk.
"I'm not crying! Crying is for babies." He protested with a pout. You chuckled and booped nose, "You're just like your father." You thought, ruffling Megumi's hair. "We're all happy to see you that you're alright." You looked beside you to the source of the voice to see Tengen sitting on a chair near your bed. You noticed that he had lost his eye along with his hand, "I can tell you the same, sorry for what happened to..." You trailed off and pointed at his eye with your head.
He laughed and shook his heard, "It's fine, it's a good excuse for me to retire anyway." When he said that, you looked at him with slight disbelief, "You're retiring?" He nodded and was about to say something, but Suma didn't let him because she threw herself at you, "Woah! Y/N san, I'm so happy to see you're okay! I was so worried about you!" She cried, tightening her hug around you. Megumi frowned and tried to push her away, "Move away! Only I can hug mama!" He exclaimed angrily.
