It was the last day for my father's burial. At habang nakatanaw ako sa kan'ya sa kabaong, hindi ko maiwasang isipin na... His in a better place now. Umuwi si Mama at Nathan at ako nalang mag-isa dito sa loob ng bahay namin. Kasalukuyang nagpapahinga ang mga pinsan ko at hindi rin pumasok si Andrei.
Pinagpaalam ko siya ng four days para sa burial ni Papa. He was resting on his room while I was wide awake looking at his coffin. It was midnight at wala pang mga tao, hula ko ay mamayang gabi pa ito dadami.
I was awaken by the sudden arrival of a person I didn't expected to arrived. She was wearing a black sunglasses with a chanel bag on her shoulder. She was wearing a red bodycon dress, paired with a black boots.
I gritted my teeth seeing the dress she wore. Nananad'ya ba siya? Alam naman siguro niyang may nagbuburol dito hindi ba? Bakit pumunta siya dito na nakapula? I glare at her as she walked her way to me.
"Anong ginagawa mo dito?" Galit na asik ko sa kan'ya.
"I'm here to visit you... I even bring a flowers for your dad!" A body guard went to me holding a flower and put it on the floor.
"Nananad'ya ka ba, Savina? You're wearing a red dress in the burial of my father?" My jaw clenched. "Didn't you know what red symbolizes when you went to burial?"
"I don't care about what other's saying. I dress according to my like. And I'm here not to mourn for your loss..." She sighed. "I'm here to tell you that, Nathaniel and I were engaged."
My breathing henched. It made my heart stopped from functioning. Parang may parte sa katawan ko ang gumuho pagkatapos kung marinig 'yon. Parang may tinarak na libo-libong kutsilyo sa puso ko ng sabihin niya 'yon.
"Hindi ako naniniwala sa'yo..."
Hanggat hindi sinasabi ni Nathan sa'kin. Hindi ako maniniwala sa kan'ya, she just try to ruin my relationship with Nathan. Alam kung hindi na maganda ang kutob ko sa babaeng 'to eh. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt.
She smirked. "Can't you see this? He proposes to me already, Andrea. Nathan just did your mother a favor to watch over you, hindi ka naman talaga niya mahal."
Napalunok ako dahil sa sinabi niya. Are they together while we are? Kaya niya ba ako niligawan dahil sinabi ng Mama ko? Napilitan lang ba siyang ligawan ako dahil sa Mama ko? How dare them?! Bakit nila ako niloko ng ganito?
Sa sinabi niyang 'yon ay mas nabigyan lang lahat ng kahulugan. From being his father's secretary, to being his secretary. Para akong pinagpasa-pasahan sa buhay ng mag-amang 'yon. Is it because my mother told them to let me have a good life? By being Sir Trevan's secretary? To sustain our needs?
