I was busy signing some papers for the month's budget. We will have a meeting with my board of directors later for another project. I called Ryan my secretary to have this papers passed to the Finance Department.

My phone beeped for a message.

From: Dad

Hi, son. Did you make up your mind? It's almost my wedding, Nathan. I need someone to managed the company.

Napahilot ako sa sentido ko dahil sa text ni Daddy. His been bugging me in the past few days about managing his company. For fuck sake, I don't have any interest on managing it. I have my own company to manage. Bakit ba kasi nag-iisang anak lang ako? Fuck it.

To: Dad

I'm not interested, Dad. What's the fuss? Find someone who'll take over your company.

From: Dad

May I just remind you that you're my only son? Hindi pa kami nakagawa ng baby nang Tita Dimple mo! Kaya wala kang choice.

To: Dad

Then, make a baby! What are you waiting for? I have my own business to take care of, Dad.

Padabog kung nilagay sa lamesa ang cellphone ko. Sumandal ako sa swivel chair at huminga ng malalim. Dad has been stressing me out about his company! Porke't malapit na ang kasal niya, ako na naman ang binubwesit niya.

From: Dad

Fine. Come in our house tomorrow for a lunch. We'll wait for you, Nathaniel Flynn.

To: Dad

Fine! I'll be there.

Saktong pagkalapag ng cellphone ko ay siyang pagbukas nang pinto ng opisina ko. My forehead was creased when he came in. The smile was already plastered on his face as he enter my office.

"Nathan, my friend! Why does your face like that? Is something happened?" Bungad niya kaagad sa'kin.

"Wala ako sa mood para makipag-asaran sa'yo, Leon. Mamaya pa ang meeting ko with the board of directors." Malamig na sabi ko.

"We've been childhood friends, Nathan. Didn't you know that I'm an early bird?"

I glare at him. "So? Fuck off."

He walked closer to my table and sit to the visitor's chair. Pinatong niya ang kamay niya sa lamesa ko at nakangiting tumingin sa'kin. He was one of the board of directors kaya rin siguro maaga pumunta dito at mambwesit.
