Alec's POV

Claire was finally coming back today, no one heard from her since she left for Berkley. I was the last one to talk to her, doctors recommended to take her to Berkley before she regained her consciousness.

She was adamant about not going back home so she was coming here. In the past few months I realised how bad a friend I was to Thea, I didn't bother to know if she was okay. I didn't even know something was wrong at home. When she didn't board the flight with me and came back early I thought perhaps she didn't want to see me after the party.... But I was wrong

Flashback

Thea was put in the ambulance for Berkley. I was more than drained as I walked back to the main building.

"Why did you tell her? " Dan asked

"I didn't tell her she saw, she saw you kiss Gia"

"Why god why? " Dan ran his hand through his head.

"Do you think she did this because of me" He spoke again

"Dan" Natalia sighed "we don't know what happened so please don't blame yourself. We will get through this"

"We were terrible parents to her"

"We really were but we will redeem ourselves" Natalia said as they hugged

After what happened to Claire our group broke off. Jeremy broke up with Stella almost instantly and it goes without saying we don't talk to Amy anymore. On the other hand we also got a new friend, Raine. She is an amazing person but the fact that I slept with her a year back makes it a bit awkward

As it was announced the flight had arrived I felt my heart beat increase. The last time I met her I had confessed my love for her that made me all the more anxious.

"There she is" Sam said

I looked up desperately searching for Claire. She wore a loose T-shirt with jeans, with her hair tied up in a bun, she was looking down walking slowly towards us. But the thing I didn't notice until now was the guy beside her he was wearing a white shirt with black pants, he looked older than us. Who was he I wondered.

He casually whispered something to her to which she nodded and finally looked up as our eyes met.

"Honey" Natalia ran to her embracing her tightly as she lightly patted her on the back

"Are you feeling alright?" Natalia asked

"Yes mom" she said with a soft smile

"Dad" Claire smiled at him as he opened and shut his mouth a number of times

"Sam"

"I missed you so much" He hugged her

"Andy"
"Jeremy"

"Welcome back" Jeremy gave a boyish smile

"Hi! " Claire said with a hint of sigh looking at me.

I had so much to say that I couldn't say anything instead just nodded

"Thea won't you introduce us to this young fellow?" Natalia said

"Oh yeah this is Mitchell Sander and this is everybody"
