"I was in a hurry. I am so sorry" Jisoo's dad says to her

Jisoo doesn't hear a single word. All her thoughts about this man spirals in the back of her head. He doesn't even know thaf this is his daughter, the one he left years ago. Jisoo never thought that meeting him will feel like this

"Honey? Did anything happen?" a woman says approaching from the back

Jisoo looks at her, a beautiful woman in her early 50s walks in

"No, I was just passing when I tipped her down" Jisoo's father says hesistantly

"As messy as ever" the woman replies and kneels down and places her hand on Jisoo's shoulder

"Don't mind him. He has always been like this, messy and carefree about the surroundings" she says while making Jisoo get up

"Mom, dad, you're late. You missed the fun. Come here" Irene says with a loud voice gesturing them to go to her

"Messy and late" the woman whispers in Jisoo's ears and chuckles

But Jisoo can hardly feel her legs. She feels paralyzed looking at their perfect family

Irene is her step sister. This is her father and the woman he cheated on her mother with

How are they so happy? Why aren't they suffering for what they did? Why is God so unfair?

"Anyways, it was nice to meet you. Have a great day" her father's wife says with a smile and walks towards the stairs where the Kims and Jeons are standing

Jisoo's father was about to leave when Jisoo stops him

"You have a very nice family" she says

He stops in his tracks and this time, he looks at her in the eyes

"You-- you look very similar to--" he stammers

"To?" Jisoo says immediately hoping that he would recognize her, that he would immediately ask for forgiveness, that he would ask her about herself and how she has been, what she has been doing

"Nothing. Have a great miss. I apologize again" he says and walks off

Jisoo watches him go. So close yet so far. He walks towards Irene and plants a kiss on her forehead

This could have been Jisoo, that woman is taking her mother's position. The picture perfect family was stolen from her. She clenches her fist in anger, in hatred. She can't take this anymore and decides to walk away from the place

Jungkook looks at the back and sees Jisoo leaving.

"Excuse me for a moment please" he says to the guests and follows her

Jisoo goes out the back door into the garden and this time, she doesn't hold back her tears. She has witnessed enough for the day

She just keeps on walking without any sense of direction when Jungkook runs behind her

"Jisoo, wait please" he says

Jisoo looks back to see him running towards her

"Please not right now" she says and starts walking again

Jungkook runs to grab her hand makinh her stop in her trail

"Where have you been last night? I was worried sick" he says but Jisoo doesn't look at him. She just keeps looking down

He then holds her chin forcing her to make eye contact with him

"You're crying?" he asks seeing the pain in her eyes
