Jisoo finally finishes greeting everyone and walks toward Taehyung's table. She smiles gently at Lisa and gives her a hug.

"Nice speech unnie" Lisa says

"Thank you so much. I was literally shaking but regardless I wanted to make you all proud" Jisoo replies and glances at Taehyung.

Taehyung doesn't reply, he breaks the eye contact off to look around. Every time he looks at her, he gets reminded of his behaviour from last night

As Jungkook tries to talk to Jisoo, Taehyung immediately comes forward to hold her hands

"Stand beside me" he says and slowly drags her towards him not giving Jungkook a chance

Irene can feel the tension between them but she fakes a smile regardless

"Congrats Jisoo. You look really pretty" Irene says with a warm heart knowing that Taehyung probably is doing everything for the camera. Moreover, Jisoo has probaby never attended an event of this scale so she obviously is nervous and Irene just wants to help her through it. She hates the situation she created, yes, but she doesn't hate Jisoo. This is the thing about Irene, she never focuses on the bad, she tries to find positivity everywhere. She can never have hatred in her heart for anyone

Jisoo just smiles and doesn't even bother to reply. She looks at Taehyung and he looks tensed.

"Is everything alright?" she says

Taehyung briefly looks at her "Hmm"

"If you are still upset about last night--" Jisoo barely finishes her sentence and Taehyung cuts her off

"I don't want to talk about last night. And I am sorry for behaving like that. I could've handled the situation differently" he replies in a slow tone

"Well, I think I deserved that but I can assure you that I won't repeat any mistakes from now on. I'll take extra care about it" Jisoo says and places her hands over his as a sign of reassurance

His hand is so cold, she presses it against the warmth of hers. Seeing Jisoo do that Irene immediately looks away, she doesn't want this to affect her

"It's all for the camera, yes, only for the cameras" she says to herself

"Your hands are so cold. Are you sure that you are fine?" Jisoo says to Taehyung

"I have never felt this. This nervousness. My company HAS to win the deal today. this is the first time I am doing everything on my own without the guidace of my father and everything has to be perfect.. I need to prove my worth, I need to prove that I am not just another nepotism kid, rather a person who knows his shit" Taehyung replies. He feels better with the warmth of Jisoo's hands

"Don't worry, you are going to win this. You've worked so hard for this for the past two years and God will reward you for your work. I know it matters the most to you and you will get it" Irene replies seeing Taehyung being so nervous.

Jisoo looks at Taehyung, this man is putting everything he has on line for this deal. It's less of a deal and more of a dream to him.

She doesn't know how to respond  "Even if you don't win, it is fine. Don't let a deal declare your worth. You've managed the company so well and getting the deal will be a cherry on top of the cake. You can still have the cake without it" she says

Irene laughs at Jisoo  "You don't know Taehyung, Jisoo. If he is passionate about something, he does crazy about it. And there is no other option than to win it" she says

Jisoo removes her hands from Taehyung's, she feels something sink inside of her hearing Irene

Taehyung looks at her for doing so, he wanted her hand to be there for a while. It calmed his heart down
