Happy Birthday

Irene waits for Taehyung's call the entire night but she doesn't get any.

She wakes up very early the next day to perform and extensive skin care, makeup routine.She dresses also up really nicely for the office. She will look her best today and make Taehyung regret for not calling her. She is sure that Taheyung is just pretending to not remember, maybe he has something under his sleeves. She takes extra time to get ready, she will hit all the right spots today, Taehyung won't be able to resist.

She drives to the ofice and as soon as she enters, she sees everyone gossiping with each other. They all notice her and greet her but soon goes back to their initial gossiping stance. No one seems to remember her birthday but it's fine, as long as Taehyung doesn't forget.

She slowly walks towards Taehyung's room and opens the door. Taehyung's chair is rotated in the opposite direction

"Hey, it's me. I know you don't like talking about personal stuff in the office but I tried calling you a number of times last night but your phone was turned off" she says

The person on the chair turns around and this is the last thing Irene expected to see. Sitting on his chair is Jisoo, her legs crossed on top of each other, she is duly dressed for her part.

"Oh I am so sorry, he was with me last night. I guess he turned his phone off to not get disturbed" Jisoo says and gets up

Irene's face drops at her words.

"Where is Taehyung?" she asks nervously

"Parkig the car maybe. I didn't want to come but he wanted me to get introduce to everyone, as his fiance. Oh by the way, I don't think that we've formlly met. Hi, I am Jisoo, Taehyung's future wife" Jisoo says and extends her hand forwards for a handshake

Irene takes some time to cope up with what is going on. She didn't know that Taehyung would bring Jisoo to the office especially on the day of her birthday

"Hi, I am.." she is about to say something when Jisoo interrupts her

"My husband's mistress?" she says

Irene gets offended at her choice of words but she isn't wrong. Taehyung is engaged to Jisoo not her

"Irene, your husband's assitant and childhood friend" irene says in a weak voice

"Oh come on babe, who are you fooling? You sent me a little letter, remember? Talking about how much you and him love each other and how you two would end up togther? I guess only time will tell who ends up with who" Jisoo replies

Irene can't take her words anymore..

"I don't think that I can engage in such a conversation. I'll just wait for him here" she says and sits down on the couch in front of the desk

"Just a free advice: Don't keep waiting for something who doesn't look forward to coming to you" Jisoo says and walks out

The entire office is gossiping about Jisoo, how perfect she looks, her fashion sense, how they all thought that Irene would be in Jisoo's place. They all want to know Taehyung and Jisoo's some love story. A common girl and a multi-millionaire husband, now that's a bomb love story. In their mind, they all compare Irene and Jisoo and Jisoo wins for each one of them. Irene has been around Taehyung for so long that the fact that they still couldn't get together explains that they aren't really mean for each other.

On the other hand, Jisoo being a commoner, they can relate to her more.

Taehyung enters the office after parking his car, he brought Jisoo today because she was very curious about meeting everyone. Also he doesn't want to leave Jisoo alone for the fear that Jungkook might try his luck again..
