Jisoo comes downstairs deciding to take her chances, not to act out of rush and ruining everything. She wants to see the letter writer first. She starts playing in her mind, is it going to be Irene's mother? Or maybe Irene? Or is it Taehyung's mother, the culprit herself? Or is.... is it just Taehyung?
She forcibly brings a smile about her face and stands beside Taehyung who is engrossed in his laptop. She rubs his shoulder and hears a car pull up in the doorway. Taehyung immediately closes his laptop
"She's here" he says
Jisoo doesn't know how to react but she feels relieved that it isn't Taehyung himself. She starts breathing fast with anticipation of meeting the person. She is definitely a caged bird, about to be sloughtered, by the person coming to greet her.
She heads towards the door and stands beside Taehyung in front of the door. A bodyguard comes out oft he front door and opens the back one as someone steps out. Jisoo tries desparately to get a view of the person as if her time is running out but the bodyguard is blocking her view.
But to her surprise, the person that emerges in front of her is not known by her. An old lady in her 80s walking towards them.. Taehyung walks forward and hugs the lady
"Welcome back grandma. Your Korea trip was way too long this time" he says
"Oh don't worry, I am back now. I went there for someone but it turned out that *the someone* was waiting for me here" she says and looks at Jisoo
"And that is Jisoo, I suppose? I one you were talking about over the phone?" she says
Jisoo doesn't know how to react. Is she the one sending her all the letters? Does she know everything? Or was the text message a joke to make her anxious?" she tries to think positively and bows to her
"I am Jisoo, it is so nice to meet you" she says
"Oh skip the formality and come in for a hug" she says
Jisoo gives afaint smile and hugs and to her dismay the old lady whispers in her ear
"All the hints I gave you trying to steer you in the right path but you chose to be oblivious and seek your revenge? I expected better" she gently says and looks at her
"What a beautiful wife you're about to have Tae" she says with a smile across her face
Jisoo stiffens at her words, it is her. She knows everything. But she isn't saying anything to Taehyung as of now. What is tthis supposed to mean?
"Come inside" Taehyung says leading the way.
Jisoo just follows behind them, feeling weak, feeling drained of all the energy. She is taking the person who holds all the weapon to destroy her in her home, a home she lied and betrayed to build, a home she made out of cards, she is just letting a storm inside tearing up everything
They all sit in the sofa and talk formally about grandma's Korea trip and how everything unfolded between Jisoo and Taehyung. They also talk about Irene's fumble on the business deal
"Jisoo, what do you think about Irene's betrayal?" she asks
Jisoo gets off guarded "I don-- I mean--- I don't think Irene did it intentionally to hurt him, she may-- maybe.. I don't know, she really cares for Taehyung I guess. And what she did was---" she gets inturrupted
"So, you don't think that Irene has any bad intentions behind doing so, do you" she asks
"umm... no" Jisoo replies hesitantly
"But did you make Taehyung understand that? Did you encourage him to clear things up with her?" she shots again
"I-- was overwhelmed with emotions" Jisoo replies slowly
