Sunoo cannot stand the awkwardness lingering between him and Jungwon eversince last night.

They didn't even talk to each other. Whenever they accidentally meets gaze, one would look away as soon as possible. Sunoo still has questions in his mind and he needed an answer for it.

“Jungwon, are you still awake?” Sunoo softly spoke.

The lights were already off and they are laying on their own beds, ready to sleep. The class will start tomorrow.

Jungwon hums in response.

The silence surround them as Sunoo thinks about the words he will use. He doesn't want to create a misunderstanding between them.

“I'm fine with you and Riki spending time together...” Jungwon speaks, breaking the silence around them.

“As much as I care, I'm trying to accept the fact that I cannot keep you to myself. I don't want to repeat what I did when you and Beomgyu are still friends.”

Sunoo felt a single tear fell on his eyes.

“So...don't push him away when he's trying to get close to you. You don't have to acknowledge my feelings, I just...I w-want you to be happy again.”

Deep, heavy breathings could be heard in the darkness coming from both of them.

“I'm sorry,” Sunoo speaks. “For making you feel like you're not enough. Trust me, I'll still choose you to be my friend in another life.”

As cringey as it sounds. Sunoo never had any other friend that is as better as Jungwon. Even Beomgyu left him after the rumor. Jungwon was the only one who stayed beside him despite being the cause of everything. He has a reason for betraying Sunoo, although it sounds very unreasonable to everyone, Sunoo understands it.

He also feels bad for giving Jungwon less attention when he was with Beomgyu. He feels bad for making Jungwon feel that he's not enough of a person to find happiness with.

And he meant it when he said he'll choose Jungwon to be his bestfriend no matter how many times he will betray him.

Jay wokes up in the middle of the night with his phone vibrating under his pillow. Who would even call him at this late hour?

He answered it without even looking at the caller ID.

“How's your brother doing?”

“Mom?” Jay asked. “Really? You're disturbing my sleep to ask me about Riki?”

“Uhm, I've just got a call from the university counselor,” his mother said.

“As far as I remember he stopped getting detention slips ever since he started bugging the sophomore, what did he do this time?”

“I know that, but I want you to meet with the university board members and faculty tomorrow and discuss about the counselor's behavior. I want her out of the university,” his mother said, her tone serious.

Jay scratched his head, he didn't understand everything that his mother had just said.

“Why?” Jay asked directly his mom.

“I don't want anyone lecturing Riki about his preferences,” The woman speaks again. “I'm sorry for calling you late at night, sweety. You can go back to sleep now.”

Her tone suddenly sounded sweet when wishing Jay a goodnight, before the call ended, leaving Jay more confused.

Riki?

What did Riki do again?
