Let's meet on Saturday, eight in the morning at the university gate.
Riki rereads the message every time he can. This was Sunoo's message last thursday evening. There's not even a greeting or something to start the conversation, instead he sent a plain message and never replied back to Riki's text. Even his calls were ignored It seemed to Riki that Sunoo might break up with him once they meet.
The thought of it actually terrified Riki. He's been comtemplating whether to meet with Sunoo or create a lie to adjust their meeting.
Until the day has come and Riki found himself waiting for Sunoo to arrive at their meeting place.
Riki's nervousness intensifies when he sees the boy he was waiting for finally walks out of the dorm's lobby.
Sunoo was back to wearing his boring black t-shirt paired into a baggy pants. If it's not Sunoo who's wearing it, Riki might think the combination ruined fashion. However, his boyfriend manage to look perfect in however he dressed himself. Riki didn't know if it's only his brain tricking him that Sunoo looks good in everything, but he really is.
What catches Riki's eyes was the piece of cloth that's tied in Sunoo's left wrist like it is some kind of accessory.
“What's this for?” Riki asked as soon as Sunoo stop before him.
“Fashion, duh,” Sunoo rolled his eyes.
Riki suspiciously stared at the cloth, having a bad feeling about it. Sunoo then offered his left hand at him, waiting to be accepted.
It didn't take long for Riki to intertwine his own hand to Sunoo's. The small gesture already making him feel happy and the vision of them breaking-up slowly left his thoughts.
“Let's go,” Sunoo said, already leading the way.
Riki has too many questions in his mind waiting to finally get an answer, but watching Sunoo's faint but content smile made Riki control himself. The questions can wait, he should enjoy this moment being together with Sunoo.
It's not like they're separating after this day ends, right? Right...?
Riki let go of Sunoo's hand as he inch closer to the older. He took back Sunoo's hand and place it around his waist while he placed his arms over Sunoo's shoulder, pulling him closer.
Sunoo looked up at him with a judging look, while Riki only gave him a sheepish smile.
“I missed you,” Riki confessed.
“After receiving millions of spam messages from you, I already know that,” Sunoo said. “Didn't we promise to not contact each other during vacations?”
“Did we?” Riki asked, playing innocent.
Riki quickly regretted it when he felt Sunoo's fingers pinching his side.
“I missed you too, Riki,” Sunoo smiled up at him.
“Where are we going?” Riki asked when he noticed they were in a bus stop.
“It's a surprise,” Sunoo said before detaching himself away from him.
Both of them mounted the bus and found a seat beside each other at the back.
“How's meeting with your Dad?” Sunoo asked.
“Great,” Riki simply replied. “Didn't you listen to my voicemails? The details are all in there.”
Sunoo laughs shortly, “Hm, I'm glad it went well.”
“How about you?” Riki asked.
Sunoo's wide smile slowly faints. There was sadness in his eyes. Riki reached for his boyfriend's hand and squeezed it tight. Sunoo gently places his head on Riki's shoulder.
