Sunoo carefully kneeled down on the snow covered grassy field. He didn't mind the cold weather and the light snow falling from the sky as he placed the two pieces of roses on the snow covered grave.

As much as he wanted to wipe off the snow using his arms, he cannot ruin the expensive dark blue suit he was currently wearing.

“Happy birthday,” Sunoo greeted, forcing a smile on his lips as he blinked back the tears in his eyes.

Today is a special day and Sunoo promised himself he will not cry. It will ruin the make-up that Jungwon has applied for him. His best friend took about an hour for his face to look like this and Jungwon will probably get mad if one tear escapes his lashes.

“I never imagined I'd celebrate your birthday like this,” Sunoo spoke. “We're never even given a chance to celebrate your birthday together.”

Sunoo looked up so his tears would not fall down his cheeks. He tried to think of happy memories, but instead, the image of Riki's parents appeared in his mind.

Jungwon opened the window, watching his best friend from inside the car.

“He's been staying there a lot longer than expected,” Jungwon said. “How can he even endure this coldness?”

“Let him be, we still have more time,” the person sitting in the driver's seat said.

“His phone keeps vibrating,” Jungwon said, watching as Sunoo's phone lit up on his hands again.

Sunghoon laughs, “Let's take more time here before we go, then. It's time for a payback after years of being a victim.”

Jungwon raised a judging eyebrow.

“I'll get Sunoo back here so we can go,” Jungwon said. “Riki might do something if we get there late.”

Sunghoon laughed harder. “Of course you're scared, Riki has a higher possibility of getting back at you than me.”

Jungwon heaved a sigh as he walked out of Sunghoon's car. He walked toward Sunoo but maintained a distance to give his best friend a little privacy.

“Dad, you have the same birthday as Riki,” Sunoo said. “I can't cry because I'm wearing make-up right now.”

“I'm meeting Riki's parents for the first time today,” Sunoo fiddles with his fingers. “I wanted to impress them so they will approve of me too. Cheer on me from heaven, Dad.”

Jungwon flinched when he felt Sunoo's phone vibrate on his hands again. Sunoo looked back at him before finally standing up.

“I should go, Dad,” Sunoo spoke. “Greet Riki a happy birthday in his dreams, okay? Scare him as a revenge for all those times he scared me in the hallways.”

Sunoo finally turned around and walked towards Jungwon, taking his phone to answer his impatient boyfriend's call.

[Got you with the car! It's Jay driving home late after work and realizing that his brother was walking alone in a cold street, he honked, stopped the car and let Riki in. That's just it.]
