"And you're fine with it?"
Heeseung looked away from Riki's judging look.
"Of course not," Heeseung confessed. "But Sunghoon is my friend, after all. I can't afford to separate them just because of my selfishness. They can meet whenever they want as long as I'm the boyfriend."
The sound of Riki trying to break the lollipop in his mouth filled the silence after.
"Stop it," Heeseung said, pulling the candy off Riki's mouth.
Riki only rolled his eyes back at the older boy.
"I really think you're considering Sunghoon's feelings," Riki then said.
"I told you, we're friends-"
"I meant his feelings towards you," Riki cuts off his sentence. "Were you, by any chance, trying to convince yourself you can love two people at a time too?"
Heeseung heaved a sigh as Riki stared at him, analyzing the changes in his expression.
"For Jake..."
Riki shook his head.
"For Sunghoon..."
The last name answered Riki's suspicions, but the older boy seemed like he didn't know his obvious feelings, yet.

"Why?" Jungwon curiously asked upon noticing Sunoo kept staring at nothing as if he's thinking about something so deep.
Jungwon clicked his fingers in front of Sunoo's eyes, bringing him back to reality.
"What are you thinking?" Jungwon asked again, flopping his chin on both of his palms as he stared at his best friend's face.
"Riki..." Sunoo muttered, eyes going distant again.
"Why? What about him?"
Sunoo sighed, closing the book in front of him as he copied Jungwon's position.
"Do you know?" Sunoo asked. "Jay and Riki are half-brothers."
Jungwon nodded his head. "I'm basically Jay's human diary. I know everything about them."
Sunoo raises a judging eyebrow.
"I mean, we're basically each other's human diaries. We're friends," Jungwon quickly cleared. "You already know I liked the other senior."
Sunoo nodded, agreeing, but still doubting that Jay and his best friend are only friends.
"So, what about Jay and Riki being half-brothers?"
"Jay talked to yesterday about something..." Sunoo started.
Jungwon only hums as a response.
"He wants me to convince Riki into going home and meet their Dad," Sunoo said. "How can I do that when I also have the same problem?"
Jungwon nodded.
"But what's bothering me is the other thing he told me about," Sunoo continued.
"What is it?" Jungwon asked.
"I mean, since you already told me that Jay was your human diary, I don't wonder anymore where Jay heard about me not going home for two years," Sunoo said. "And he probably told Riki about it, too."
"And?"
"Jay told me that he knew Riki was trying to convince me to go back home as well," Sunoo said. "But I don't remember Riki ever doing that."
Jungwon looked surprised, but he covered it by biting his lips.
"And he also told me that in order for me and Riki to grow together, we should start working on our own problems first. Basically, he's telling me to fix myself so Riki will fix himself too," Sunoo narrated.
Jungwon fakes a cough, avoiding Sunoo's eyes.
"He was right, though," Jungwon said. "You can't just convince Riki to go home because you can't even do it yourself. And the same goes for him to you."
Sunoo heaved another sigh, "What should I do?"
Jungwon smiled flatly. "You already know what to do, Sun, you just don't want to accept it."
Jungwon held Sunoo's hand and gave it a comforting squeeze, "I'm always here for you."
"Thanks," Sunoo said, smiling back at Jungwon. "But admit it to me first that you and Jay are a pair and you're targeting me and Riki."
Jungwon shrugged but he could not help the sheepish smile on his lips.
"Do you think I haven't noticed?" Sunoo said. "What if you work on your love life instead of mine? Forget about Heeseung, he's already dating someone. You can date Jay instead."
"We're just friends," Jungwon said.
"Or maybe Riki and I will have to play cupids for you and Jay to start developing feelings for each other," Sunoo said. "Just so you wait, we're changing that we're friends to we're dating."
Jungwon only laughs at that before dismissing the topic so they can start reviewing for the finals.
