Chapter 57: LA Here We Come

Alex's POV:

I woke up to the sound of my alarm. I was about to roll over to shut it off but I couldn't roll over. I looked down and found my mate had his arms wrapped around my entire waist. My alarm kept blaring and somehow didn't wake him up. I rolled my eyes and then tried my best to reach and grab my phone. Thankfully, I have pretty long arms and was able to grab the base of my phone with the tips of my fingers. I pulled my phone onto the bed. By the time I finally got my phone in my hand, the snooze alarm went off. However this time, I was able to shut it off immediately. Now that I was fully awake, I looked at the time and realized that we'd only got four hours until we have to be on the plane and on the way to LA. 

I started trying to get out of my mate's arms but every time I moved, his arms would just tighten even more. After trying for what felt like forever, I finally gave up and just accepted my fate. I will never be able to get out of his grip without him willingly letting me go. I am currently staring at the ceiling as I make a checklist in my head of everything I need to make sure is packed and of everything, I still need to do. My list was almost finished when suddenly I felt his arms tighten and his head move. Cueing that he's finally awake. I was hoping that meant he'd let me go but unfortunately luck was not on my side. Instead, he just changed our position. 

"Theo, I need to get up." Theo just nodded his head and didn't move a muscle. "Theo, I'm not kidding. I need to get up and get ready. Not to mention I need to use the bathroom." That did the trick because he finally unwrapped his arms from my waist. I quickly roll out of bed and run for it. I don't know how long I had to get away. I love how he loves physical affection, but sometimes a girl needs to breathe. 

While in the bathroom, I did my business and then jumped into the shower. I decided to take a nice long shower and do everything. And when I say everything. I mean everything. After I finished, I wrapped a nice big fluffy towel around me. I walked out of the bathroom and found a wide-awake Theo just sitting in bed on his phone. He must've sensed me because suddenly, his eyes shot up from his phone and he was now looking at me. His eyes darkened for a second but his eyes soon turned back into the gorgeous green eyes I've gotten so used to staring into. I walk towards him which causes him to move from the middle of the bed to the end, with his feet now on the floor. I walk over and stand between his legs and give him a quick kiss. Then before he could wrap his arms around me and trap me once again, I turn around and grab my clothes and run back into the bathroom. 

"Not funny! That was very mean!" I couldn't help but giggle while I was getting dressed. 

"You should get ready. We only have a couple of hours now." I could hear him let out a big sigh but instead of him getting up, I just hear a flop. I roll my head and check in the mirror how I look. I walk back out of the bathroom and found him laying back on the bed once again. I made my way over to him and sat on the bed. 

"Theo, I'm being serious. You have to get up or we'll miss the flight. Or worse, you won't have everything you need for the trip and have to pay for overpriced LA stuff." I heard him let out a small laugh before suddenly he grabbed my waist and was now towering over me. 

"Unlike you, I packed everything already the night before so therefore all I need to worry about is grabbing the bags and loading them in the car, eating something for breakfast, making sure you get something to eat as well, and most importantly making sure you're with me." I couldn't help but smile a little at the last part. 

"Okay well, I've got to pack my bathroom stuff and makeup. And I want to pack a few more clothes before I give you my bags to load into the car." Theo let out a nice deep laugh and then got off of me. He then went into the bathroom to get ready so I finished packing my stuff and then I took my bags and added them to the pile of stuff we were taking. Just as I put my last bag, Theo came out of the bathroom and was ready to go. 

"I'll start taking the bags down and then we can go and make breakfast together." I let out a small laugh and shook my head. 

"Or instead, I could make some breakfast for us while you load the bags." Theo just nodded his head and started grabbing the bags. I followed behind him and then made my way to the kitchen. 

I decided to make some sausage, omelets, and toast. I was almost finished with the second omelet and was waiting for the toast to pop when suddenly two large arms wrapped around me. I shook my head but still tilted my head up and gave him a peck on his jawline. He let out a laugh and dropped his head so this time I could kiss his cheek. Theo wrapped his arms around me a bit tighter. 

"Theo, you're going to cause me to burn the omelets." 

"I'll still eat them. Even if they were so black and charred that you wouldn't be able to know if it's charcoal or food." I let out a laugh and shake my head. 

"First of all, I'd never burn food that bad. And secondly, I take offense to you thinking I would burn food that bad." Theo just shook his head and leaned his head against mine. 

The omelet was finished soon after so I plated the food and brought the food over to the island for us to eat. We started eating and the first thing Theo went for was the sausage. We ate in comfortable silence and after about thirty minutes, we both finished. I grabbed our plates and took them over to the sink. I quickly cleaned the plates and put them on the drying rack. I checked my watch and soon realized we had about an hour left before we had to be on the plane. Theo was on his phone in the other room, so I walked over and sat next to him. 

"We have about an hour before we need to be on the plane." Theo put his phone back in his pocket and pulled me onto his lap. 

"I guess that means we have to leave now, doesn't it?" I nod my head and then rest my head in the nook of his neck. I take a deep breath in and oh my god, I love his cologne. We stayed like that for a few minutes before I got off his lap. Theo stood up and we made our way to his car. 

Theo started his car but then noticed that I didn't have my seat belt on. He put the car back into park and then reached over me and clipped my seatbelt in. Once he was satisfied with me now being seatbelted in, he put the car back into drive and we pulled out of the driveway and made our way to the airport.
