Once Aria entered the Waltons house, it was like a rush of memory's that hit her. The place where she grew up everyday. It felt close yet so far from reach.

Jayla waved Aria along, noticing her hesitance. DJ and Jess were quick to walk around a corner, rushing over to Aria in excitement.

They both brought her into a hug separately, telling her how happy they were that she was visiting, and she was welcome any time if home was to much.

Aria's heart warmed up, haven't feeling that warmth from anybody but Brandon's parents ever since Brandon's passing.

After walking past her parents, they walked up the stairs, heading towards Jayla's room. "Jayla," Aria spoke up, forcing both of them to stop. Something had came over Aria, suddenly pushing herself towards Jayla, hugging her.

She had no clue what was up with her and her sudden urges to say and do things, but she was glad. She had missed hugging her best friend, missing that warmth.

And of course Jayla without hesitation hugged back, slightly bending over, trying to solve the height distance.

Jayla pulled away, throwing an arm around her shoulder. "Let's go to my room, and you can sleep, or talk if you want"

Aria nodded, she was more than happy with sleeping. But then again she wouldn't mind catching up with all that she missed.

As they walked to Jaylas room, she could spit Javon slowly walking in the distance, focused on his phone as he walked forward, paying no attention to what was in front of him.

As he passed be he gave a quick glance up before looking back down at his phone. "Hey, Ari" he said it like it was a reflex. It almost was. Once again she used to be there everyday, so it wasn't unusual to spot Aria in their house.

The once it registered in Javons mind he did a double take, snapping his head up from his phone, completely freezing in his spot. "Aria?" His eyes went wide, before he finally put the pieces together. "Aria!" He shouted, running towards the girl.

Just like everyone else that day engulfed her into a hug. One so tight that she felt like she couldn't breathe. "Bro, I've missed you so fucking much. What are you doing here? Wait that sounded rude." He pulled away. "I meant—you get what I mean"

Aria couldn't help but laugh, missing the way he'd always panic over his words. She smiled at him. "I know what you meant"

"Had Daelo or Jaden seen you yet?" He questioned, while Jayla still stood beside her.

"Nope"

"Okay, we'll you gotta go say hi, dumbass" he playfully rolled his eyes. It was like nothing had changed, but sadly everything did.

She lost a lot of connections to people during Brandon's death. One being Jaden. It was neither their fault, both were too young to even began what they thought would last forever.

She plastered on her best smile. "Yeah, let's go" Javon swung an arm around Aria, forcing Jayla to follow behind the two.

Aria tried her best to not seem nervous, but she was. She knew it wasn't going to be the same, she just hoped they could pretend that nothing changed.

All she wanted to do was pretend that nothing was wrong and let her problems float away, enjoying the night with people she loved. And she did that—to the best of her ability.

They first went to Daelo's room, knocking on the door a couple of times, before the door handle jiggled open, revealing a slightly taller kid that Aria vividly remembered.

The boy rubbed his eyes like he had just woken up, still trying to figure out what was happening. "Did you forget about me already Daelo?"

"Ari?" He asked aloud, before his eyes widened, looking at the girl with shook. "Never thought you'd be back" Although the boy had only just turned ten he seemed a while different level of mature, especially from what she remembered last time.

He had also grown in height significantly, hitting right at 4'10. He gave a toothy smile, wrapping the teenager in another hug. At this point Aria couldn't keep track of how many hugs she had gotten that day.

"Does Jaden know you're here?" Daelo asked skeptically, like she should be on the down low and not seen by him.

"Uhh, no." She shook her head.

Daelo hesitated like he knew something. "Oh, okay. Well since I'm still half asleep, I'm going to bed" he pointed to his messy bed, befor gently closing the door letting the three walk away.

"The hell is Daelo talking about?" Aria asked, looking up at the two siblings, how just shrugged looking at each other. "Uh, you know what, he's probably asleep, I can just see him tomorrow"

"You sure?" Jayla questioned, unsure of how it would play out.

"Yeah, im kinda tired anyways."

"If we sleeping, we sleeping in my room" Javon exclaimed, dragging the two girl to his room. Jayla groaned in annoyance, but otherwise obliged, as Aria just followed happy times get sleep no matter where it was.

As Javon opened his door a small kitten emerged rubbing his face against Aria legs. She had also completely forgot about Javons kitten.

She squatted down, petting the purring cat head. "Ah, I forgot how cute you are" Aria cooed, smiling down at the kitten. She got back up, walking back over to Javons big couch, thst she already decided she was going to sleep on.

As she sat down into the couch she immediately felt sleep overturn her, knowing she needed it. Javons threw himself onto his bed, while Jayla moved over to sit by Aria.

"Alright, what we watching?" Javon asked, turning on his tv.

"Let's watch a Halloween movie" Jayla suggested, while Aria cuddled into Jaylas side.

"Ohh, Yeah, let's watch Hocus Pocus" Aria cheered.

"Hell yes" Javon agreed, finding his way down to Disney +, searching up Hocus Pocus and watching as he began to play the movie.

Javons cat was quick to curl up into Aria's lap, to which she happily petted the cat. As she leaned her head on Jaylas shoulder she couldn't help but think how grateful she was to have the Waltons. Because without them she'd most likely never feel safe again.

And I'm that moment she felt the safest she ever felt in a long time.

Aria was quick to fall asleep, letting her mind wonder off into a dreamless sleep.
