It had been a week since I'd seen that woman, Zuri. It's also been a week of me waiting for Mateo to get back. Eliana has been in a very interesting mood lately, constant cleaning and weirder cravings. My mother says it's called nesting.
Enzo and Mateo have been taking turns setting up what she allows them to in the nursery. She wants to do most of it herself.
I was on duty today to check up on her while Enzo went on another one of his missions for a week.
She is blasting Spanish music and she waddles past the living room every so often. "Kenzi, have you seen my body pillow?"
I heard her but I didn't exactly hear her. I was too focused on searching for a Zuri, and she wasn't coming up.
"Kenzi...", "Its right here." I sigh out lifting the thick plush pillow sitting next to me on the couch. "Than- Oh who is she?" She was looking over my shoulder at the photo I took of Zuri in her sleep. Trying to compare it to anyone in the database with the same name.
"Nobody." I slam the laptop shut and stand up. El is looking up at me with a smug look on her face.
"What!?" I ask leaving the room and moving into the kitchen. "Do you have a girlfriend?" I scoff and she keeps going. "Is that why you didn't answer any of my texts that day last week. You can tell me, she's really pretty!" She was too excited, it made me roll my eyes.
"El drop it." My tone was dead and she frowned. "Fine." She huffed walking away.

"Are you still going to keep secrets from me Raye?" Sasha pressed when he walked into our shared hotel room from spying on one of the Capo's.
"I don't know what you're talking about Sash." I kept my voice level and empty of anything suspicious. The morning after that eventful night I'd woken up in the house alone.
