Volume 2 Episode 3

She doesn't know where the sound is coming from telepathically. She looked around quickly, then a pathetic voice resounded in her head.

-Stupid. On your wrist.

She almost lost her temper, but as soon as she looked down on her wrist, she froze in surprise.

"Uh, when did you get here?!"

-You said bracelet. Oh, this is the first time I've ever received such an insult. I'm a bracelet.

"What do you mean? You look beautiful."

Grumbling, Aki kept complaining about where he sold off the respectful words he had been saying earlier.

-I signed the contract because I was frustrated here, but it's not fair. I think I got scammed.

"That's what you used to do every day, magic sword."

Then a loud voice echoed in her head at her reply.

-Hey, I'm a holy sword!

She answered not intending to lose.

"Are you considered a holy sword when you suck up half a contractor's life?"

-That's because everyone isn't qualified!

"Shut up, you evil sword."

Oh, it should be a little quieter now.

Rubbing her stiff and sore shoulder, she stood up. And at that moment, a whining voice shook inside her head.

-It's because I'm the only one!

Oh, it's only been a few minutes.

The fact that half of the day flew by briefly took her breath away.

Am I not a moth, but a girl who leapt through time?

Now, she's thinking about whether she only needs to meet a cool young man who says, "I'll wait for you in the future," when suddenly, someone puts a hand on her shoulder.

"Arietta!"

A familiar voice. She turned around in surprise. Gid was standing there, holding her shoulder and exhaling harshly while his upper body bowed.

Huh? Why is he here?

-What? Do you know him?

Yes, I know him. Don't make a fool of yourself.

She gave a warning to Aki, who is like a nuclear bomb on a bracelet, and then bowed her head.

Gid, are you alive?

Somehow, Gid had a different atmosphere today than at other times. Though she doesn't know what it is.

"Where have you been?! I was worried!"

Before she could fall into deep thought, her eyes widened at the sudden scolding.

Huh? What just happened to me? Why are you shouting?

"Where the hell did you leave your mind? Why is your cheek so cold? Did you fall down again?"

Gid's desperate expression was more serious than usual. She was surprised that he was like this, probably because he always smiled, smirked, and had his light side.

What...? This Gid, is the Gid Onzigel I knew, right?

"Gid... Wait a minute."

It was not the angry voice that was surprising. What's surprising to her now was the fact that Gid, who doesn't lose his composure anytime and anywhere, was agitated.
