"Maybe Bailey should check you out, Mer" Derek said as he pushed her up to Richard's office

"I'm fine. Just didn't sleep well." She insisted

"Mer, yesterday you were weak as well. I believe you didn't sleep well but you know that's not the main reason why you feel so shitty" Derek sighed

"I know.." Meredith weakly muttered, her gaze down at the floor, scared someone would see her 'weak'

Once arrived at Richard's office he didn't even have to knock. They were waiting for them

"Hey sweetie, how have you been feeling?" Bailey went soft on Meredith

"Why is she in a wheelchair?" Richard asked Derek

"She could barely stand up, I honestly thought she'd pass out on me.." Derek quietly explained before kneeling down as well

"I'm fine. I just need some sleep. The chemo's been a little rough this week." She finally admits but doesn't tell them how bad her head hurt

"Mer.. You've been asleep most of the weekend. You're overdoing yourself with Maddie and work." Richard said

"I'm still a mother!" Meredith raised her voice the best she could and looked hurt at Richard

"I know. That's why I'm clearing you from work. I don't want you to continue working for now." Richard said

"You can't do that!" Meredith raised her voice again. "Richard, you can't do that!"

"Mer.. I love you, I'm only doing this because I wanna take care of you. I can do this and I will do this" Richard sternly said

"I'm booking a hotel tonight." Meredith scoffed and tried to get up

"Mer, stay seated. We'll figure it out." Derek sighed, knowing her stubborn side

"You sit down, we're going to an examination room and I'll do a quick check up. Then Derek can take you home." Bailey said

...

"Grey, your blood pressure is pretty low, especially since I know you're not calm.." Bailey sighed

Derek sat down holding onto Meredith's hand while stroking her hair with his other, suddenly stopping as a strand of hair came out. He quickly disposed of it in the trash can behind him.

"Grey, I wanna admit you just to be safe. I don't want you to be in a hotel room on your own" Bailey said

"No." Meredith stated

"I can take her home. We can pick up Maddie and you two can sleep in my bed." Derek said

"I agree with that. I'll make sure you have the day off tomorrow" Bailey nods and takes off her gloves. "Take care Grey, and call if we can help, please"

"Thanks." Derek nods. "Let's stop at Adele and Richard's house for Maddie and some of your stuff" Derek said

Meredith tried to push herself up, insisting she'd walk but as she stood up she felt very dizzy

"Sit down." Derek guided her back into the wheelchair. "Sit down, please" He sighs

"I'm not feeling well." Meredith finally admits

"I know. Let me help" Derek kissed her forehead, suddenly realising what he did but Meredith didn't seem to mind. She was probably too sick to even notice, he thought

While in reality all Meredith wanted was for him to do it again

...

"Okay Mads, you got everything?" Derek asks as he had packed the girls' stuff for the night

"Yep! Nanas and I are weady!" The little girl smiled

"Grab my hand and we'll go to the car but shh, because mommy's very very sleepy" Derek warned her

"Mommy felt sweepy in the store too" Maddie explains as they made their way downstairs

"Call if we can help, please" Adele sighs

"I will. I'm gonna take her to bed, she'll feel much better when she's cuddled up with Maddie, looking over Seattle from my bedroom." Derek smiled as it was all he wanted. He had dreamed about building this house for his wife and daughter. But even before the house was finished he had his divorce with Meredith and she had seen Maddie's room. But never THEIR bedroom

"Mama!" Maddie smiled as Derek helped her into her carseat but Meredith was asleep, her head resting against the window

"Shh baby. I promise mommy will be awake to give you a night night. You and mommy can sleep in the big bed, I'll sleep on the couch." Derek promised.

"You stay too!" Maddie insisted

"We'll see, monkey" He sighed and started driving his car

He took the ride over the mainland, not wanting to trigger any nauseous feeling by Meredith for taking the ferry

"Mer. Wake up, we're home." He stroke his hand over her cheek

"Kay.." She sighed and sat up, unbuckling herself and getting out of the car, tightly holding onto the car so she wouldn't fall

"Hey easy" Derek helped her once he got Maddie out and placed the girl on his hip, he walked inside with Meredith and helped her to the couch

"Sorry for being a burden" Meredith sighed

"You are not a burden, Mer. I care about you. Now change and then I'll bring you to our room

...

"She's asleep" Derek said as Maddie had fallen asleep in his arms

They were now laying down in his bed. He got up to leave when Meredith weakly grabbed his hand

"You don't have to."

"Mer, I don't want you to be uncomfortable.." Derek sighed

"Then stay," She muttered. "Please." She begged

"Staying." Derek cracked a smile. "I'm sorry for leaving you.." Derek whispered

"You didn't leave me. We.. We broke up." Meredith's voice cracked

"I'd never agree if I could turn back time." Derek admitted

"I miss you.." Meredith whispered, barely noticeable but Derek heard

"What the hell happened.." Derek sighed deep

"You were the one that started dating Rose.." Meredith muttered

"And you ran away to Boston. With our daughter-" He teared up and grabbed her hand. "I'm sorry, Mer. I'm so sorry."

"Me too." Meredith nodded and closed her eyes

"Sleep. You're exhausted, we can talk more tomorrow." Derek rubbed her back softly as she fell asleep
