"ELIJAH, COME ON!" BELLAMY SHOUTED, holding his hand out the train car, trying to help Elijah and his luggage off the platform as the bustling crowd hurried to bid goodbye to their loved ones. The Hogwarts' Express blew out steam over 9¾, the engine thrumming to a start and the whistle echoing through the prevailing winds.

"Jesus, Eli. Hurry up!" Lizzie groaned, pushing her brother up the step and dragging her own trunk behind her, helping Hermione onto the train afterwards. The group managed to get into the train's corridor as the wheels started to turn beneath them. There was a squawk from under Lizzie's arm when the train jostled beneath them, sending every one of them into the walls and each other. "Shoot. Lancelot."

The girl looked down at the bird who looked slightly ruffled, glaring up at her and Lizzie gave him an apologetic smile, Lancelot letting out a low hoot and hiding behind his wing.

"How is he?" Hermione asked, the bird only coming out from its hiding place to let the bushy-haired girl stroke down its feathers. "Lancelot, I mean."

"He seems slightly-" Lizzie was about to answer, when Ron let out a loud gasp.

"Scabbers!" the boy cried, patting his hands down his shirts and dropping his trunk, the luggage falling right on Harry's foot. Harry let out a hiss through his teeth, hopping up and down, having to lean himself on Elijah and Bellamy to keep upright, while Hermione and Elizabeth stuck to the sides of the carriage by themselves.
