LIZZIE HAD NO OTHER WAY OF PUTTING what she felt when she came to a couple hours later. She felt at peace. Her eyelids fluttered open and it took her a second to realise where she was. It was the Hospital Wing. A few lamps were burning on some of the walls, the dim light blurring in her eyes, but she couldn’t even get as far as sitting up right when she felt two arms wrap around her shoulders. Blinking rapidly, she found the bushy hair of Hermione covering one side of her face, and the feeling of bandages all over her body.

“You’re awake,” Hermione said in a hushed voice, leaning back and letting the girl push herself up onto her elbows, Hermione helping to put the pillow behind her back. It seemed to still be quite late into the night and Lizzie looked down to see a jacket over her, keeping her warm since her t-shirt was ripped to shreds and that her legs were satisfyingly warmer than when they were stuck in the ice. Bandages were wrapped around her knees, the ice having cut deep into them, and she had stitches across her lip and through her eyebrow, a couple of shallower cuts left to heal on their own on her arms and shoulders.

“I… I am,” Lizzie nodded drowsily, pushing her hair back from her face. She looked to the bed next to her seeing Harry still sleeping soundly and on the bed opposite was Ron, leg encased in a cast and his eyes closed as he rested his head back on his pillow. “Merlin, my head hurts.”
