LIZZIE HAD BEEN RIGHT WHEN SHESAID she thought the second paragraph in the book from the restricted section wouldn’t be anything of help, and honestly, that was the least of her worries right about now — even if Hermione had decided it should be at the top of her list. Although, right now, Lizzie had decided to push the birds, the stupid omen and the Dementors to the back of her mind and set her sights on one subject. That one subject happened to be Sirius Black’s supposed family members that lived in the castle. They could be anywhere, at any time, and Lizzie wanted to figure out who they were.
However, as Christmas flew past without a second to spare, Lizzie lost track of time with gift-giving, going back home for the holidays and the pile of homework she received on boxing day. Lancelot was sick for a total of three days because of how much mail she was getting and sending, and he only got over it once she got him some expensive owl feed from the Magical Menagerie. Little did she know, the little blighter was going there and stealing it for free after every long flight.
The train back to Hogwarts was quiet that year — Bellamy stayed at Hogwarts with Cedric while their parents were in Rome on Ministry business; Hermione went home for the holidays, but had taken the train the day before; Harry and Ron had stayed at Hogwarts along with the rest of the Weasleys — so Elijah and Lizzie took a compartment by themselves, buying multiple packs of Bertie Bott’s Every Flavoured Beans, daring each other to find the really disgusting flavours.
