Chapter 7: Worlds Collide/Portland

It took me a few weeks to completely recover from the War Games match and during my time off it was announced that in January we were gonna have a special event. Worlds Collide, both NXT and NXT UK we're gonna all be in Texas at the Toyota Center to put on this show. On the last NXT of the year Bianca had a title defense against Shayna Baszler, she came back to NXT to try and win the title and they had a great match but Bianca won and defended her title again. I know I had a great year but I didn't think it was great enough to win an award, but I did win NXT future star of the year. I took that momentum and went on a winning streak leading up to Worlds Collide but two weeks before the event Bianca came down to the ring to start the show. She said that this was her last night here on NXT and was vacating the title and her last request was to have a ladder match at Worlds Collide to crown a new champion. This request was granted and it was announced that it would be a six way ladder match to crown the new champion. It was gonna be 3 NXT stars and 3 NXT UK stars to include Rhea Ripley, Io Shirai, and myself from NXT. Xia Brookeside, Toni Storm and Piper Niven from NXT UK. I literally refused to let this title opportunity slip through my hands. This was my first chance and I wasn't leaving Texas without that women's title. I was so hyped up for this match, even more so because my family came from California to see me perform in person for the first time. I was so ready for this, I really wanted put on my absolute best performance in front of them, I wanted to impress my sister Danielle more then anything. My match was the co main event of the night. I had the luxury of coming out first and I got a loud pop once my music hit. I completely won the crowd over during this past year. I made my down the ramp giving the crown some high-fives and threw my jacket out into the crowd once I made my way into the ring. Piper Niven came in next followed by Rhea then Xia, Toni and lastly Io who got the biggest pop out of us all. As soon as the bell rung I went after Rhea,
My problems with her are still not over. It didn't take long for weapons to get involved,
Chairs were swung, I found a sledgehammer and used it on Xia, Piper tossed me over the barricade into the crowd, Rhea tossed Io over the commentator table and Toni used a trash can lid on Piper. It was only Rhea and Toni in the ring for a short time and Rhea got the upper hand and was climbing up the ladder. Myself and Xia made it back in the ring and pushed the ladder from under Rhea and she crashed down to the mat and rolled out the ring. It was myself, Piper and Xia in the ring and I was using the ladder as a weapon. I took both of them out and had a short window to get that title and I got my fingertips on it before Io came back and hit me with a chair to the back and I fell off the ladder. She hit me two more times and by this time Rhea and Toni made it back in and those 3 were going at it. Later in the match two ladders were set up in the ring and one was bridged between them. Xia, Rhea and Piper where all on the outside. Toni and Io tried to whip me into the ladder that was bridged but I ducked under and jumped over the top rope and took out the 3 that was on the outside. Toni and Io were left in the ring and Io did a snap suplex on Toni on the ladder that was bridged and she climbed up to grab the title. I made my way back to my feet and spring-boarded from the apron to the ladder and met Io at the top of the ladder. A short back and fourth ended with me pulling off a sunset flip power bomb on Io through the ladder that was still bridged between the ladders that were set up. At this point every one was down and the match essentially reset. I managed to drag myself up the ladder, I was half way up when Piper slid in and pushed the ladder I was climbing and I jumped onto the other ladder that was setup. I jumped off the ladder and tried to hit Piper with a hurricanrana but she countered it and tossed me over the rope through a table that was set up at ringside. I was down and out for 4 or 5 minutes I staggered my way back to my feet but by the time I even dragged myself up Io was taking the title down. I just collapsed to the floor, 27 minutes and a full on war with 5 of the best in this business in a match I love and I still couldn't get the championship. I literally touched it, got my finger tips on it but couldn't bring it down. This was the closest I got to winning but now Io is at the top of this division. I went back to the hotel I was staying at and before I went to sleep my sister came in my room.
