Aires pov...

A bitter chill nipped at my skin as a shiver slipped past my lips. The pounding in my head and aching of my sandpaper like veins made the information my mother had told me feel deeper on a whole new level.

I was alive.

Dead.

But alive.

As I forced my body to sit up, I ran through the world shattering events that had taken place a few hours prior. Sage. Peter. Talia. And suddenly, the realisation that the universe had completely fucked me over had hit me.

Everything had changed. My life. My future. All of it was as uncertain as a humans promise of tomorrow. I would love forver, and would be subjected to watching everyone I ever loved eventually die around me.

How sick and twisted was that?

"Ree?"

My eyes instantly flickered over to a set of honey brown eyes, ones that had red rims around them, tears flooding them.

No. No. No. No. No.

He needed to run.

As he jumped out of his seat and quickly tried to advance towards me, I ripped the IV out of my arm and throw my stone cold body across the room, desperately trying to get as far away from him as possible.

Everything within me had been high tended to an extraordinary level. I could feel everything, hear everything, smell everything, including the sweet aroma of Stiles blood pumping through his veins.

"Stiles." I choked out in a horse voice, dread lacing my tone. "You need to get away from me right now."

"Aires, it's okay, you're okay. I'm not going to hurt you."

"I know." I snapped as I pushed the heel of my hands into my eyes, attempting to evict the aching burn that taunted them. "But I might hurt you."

"What are you on about?" He whispered, as if he couldn't fathom the idea, as if he didn't know just how dangerous I truly was. "You would never hurt me, Aires."

"I'm dead Stiles." I bluntly mumbled, needing him to grasp the horror of the situation. "I'm not alive, i'm dead. And I'm so hungry."

In the reflection of the window, I watched as the veins formed under my eyes, as my eyes went scarlet red filled with blood, as the fangs forced their way in my mouth. I had seen vampires before, the people I considered family are vampires, dangerous and the original to be exact.

I never feared them- however, I feared myself.

"Please leave." I pleaded. "Leave."

I never had control of my magic, not until the necklace. But with that gone, with the fact that I was now a transitioning heretic, I was also a ticking time bomb. I had no control, no idea of what I was capable of. I was bearing keeping myself pulled together.

But with every second that passed, every second that Stiles slipped closer to me, every second that he was was in the room, every second I was forced to hear the blood rushing through his veins- I could myself slipping further and further away from the little control I was desperately clasping on to.

"What happened?" He whispered, desperately wanting to know what had changed from the last time he had seen me. "What did Sage do to you?"

"I died." I whispered whilst slowly lifting my head to meet his eyes. "Sage destroyed the necklace, it was linked to me and the power I was holding in was just too much. It killed me. Sage, killed me. I saw my mom, in some strange place. She told me everything. Even Sage knew and she didn't tell me. I'm a heretic, Stiles. Half vampire, half witch. And I have twenty four hours to drink human blood before I... I don't know what will happen. I cant die, I'm immortal."
