TW// cussing, child abuse, talk of snake attack, crying, blaming oneself for something
3rd person POV
When Tommy woke, he realized he was being carried through some doors.
"Mm...Wil?" He muttered, rubbing his tired eyes. "Nope." A female voice replied. Tommy woke up instantly when he realized who the voice belonged to. Miss Meredith.
"W-Wha-?! How are you-" Tommy was cut off when she dropped him on the floor. "Ow!" He exclaimed.
Suddenly, she kicked him directly in the ribs. Tommy fell over and grabbed his side in pain.
"How may god damn times did I have to tell you to stay away from that wall?!" She yelled. "It's my life, not yours!" Tommy argued. "I am one of the only adults in your life! You should listen to my rules!" "I do listen to your rules, I just don't follow them. I have ears. I listen. I don't comply."
She grabbed Tommy by the collar of his shirt and pulled him to his feet. She got up in his face and was pointing her finger in his face.
"You are so damn disobedient!" She yelled, causing Tommy to flinch. "All you do is run away and steal things and get yourself into trouble!" Tommy winced as she yelled in his ear.
"Tommy..?"
Tommy looked over to see none of them than Tubbo and Ranboo standing in the doorway.
"Don't look at them! They can't help you!" Meredith forcefully grabbed Tommy's chin and jerked his to look at her. "You got yourself in this mess! You shouldn't have run away!" Tommy felt tears welling in his eyes. "Oh, you gonna cry now? You miss your little forest buddies that you found? Huh?" Meredith teased him.
Tommy shyly nodded.
Meredith scoffed, dropping Tommy to the floor, making him fall on his ass.
"You are so pathetic." She said. "I'm a woman of my word. I told you if you went back to the wall that you would be stuck with all the cleaning and be fed once a week, and I meant it. Tommy stared at her. "Go wash the dishes, then clean the bathroom." Meredith said. "But before that, clean yourself up some. You look like you rolled in dirt."
With that, she left Tommy sitting there. Tubbo and Ranboo hurried over to him.
"Oh my god! We missed you so much! You're ok! I'm so glad you're ok!" Tubbo said, obviously having happy tears in his eyes. Ranboo nodded to agree with Tubbo. Tubbo wrapped his arms around Tommy, and Tommy slowly hugged Tubbo back.
"How did she find me..?" Tommy whispered, not asking anyone in particular. "What do you mean, boss man?" Tubbo asked. Tommy looked around. "L-Let's talk in our room."
Tommy grabbed Tubbo's wrist and dragged him up the stairs, with Ranboo following behind them. The three when over and sat on Tubbo's bed.
As soon as they sat down, Ranboo burst into tears and engulfed Tommy in a huge hug.
"R-Ran..? What's wrong, buddy?" Tommy asked. Ranboo continued to sob into Tommy's shoulder of his red hooded cape, which he was thankful he hadn't lost while he was passed out.
"He's really been blaming himself for you leaving." Tubbo said. "Why..?" Tommy asked. "Since he watched you leave, he kept thinking that 'Id only he could talk, he could have stopped you' because he thought something bad happened or was going to happen to you."
"Oh, Ran. It's not your fault. Even if you did talk I still would have left." Tommy said. Ranboo's sobs had quieted down mostly.
"So are you ready to tell us what the hell you've been up to?" Tubbo asked.
"S-So..." Tommy hesitated. "Well, to start, the stories are true." He said. "T-They are?!" Tubbo asked. Tommy nodded. "How do you know? Did you see one?" Tommy was about to reply, but Tubbo started flipping out. "Did it hurt you?! Are you ok?!" "Yes, I'm fine. They didn't hurt me."
"They?!"
"Calm your balls, Tubbs." Tommy chuckled. "Basically, the day I ran away, I ran into a snake, and it bit me." Tommy said. "What?! Are-" "But...someone saved me."
"I said the stories are true, and they are, but they're also not. If that makes any sense." Tommy said. "Not really." Tubbo replied. "Ok, well, the stories say that they're wicked and evil beasts, but they're not. Yes, they're definitely not human, but they are really nice." Tommy emphasized 'really'.
"They are?" Tubbo asked in shock. Tommy nodded.
"Well, not all of them. It's like humans, some are good, some are bad. I only saw one bad one though. Everyone else was nice." Tommy said. "How many were there?!" "A small town. Probably about 30-40 'people'." "Oh, wow."
"I lived with three of them though, and was pretty good friends with two others." Tommy said. "What we're they like?"
"Wilbur, the one that saved me from the snake, is part wolf. Techno is part pig. Our first impression was bad but we're good now. Phil is part bird. That's who all I lived with." Tommy said. "But the two others who I was...am...who I am friends with are Quackity who is a duck, and Dream who is also part wolf."
"That's so cool." Tubbo said. Ranboo nodded. "Do...do you think you'll ever see them again?" Tubbo asked. Tommy shrugged. "I dunno. Probably not." "Sorry..."
"Not your fault." Tommy said. "Still."
"It's fine."
