(Amber Helstea POV)

"Happy birthday, Eleanor!"

Finally, all the guests have left, and it was time for Eleanor to open the presents she had received. Her parents gave her a pair of beautiful hair ties with ornamental bells that were silver on first glance but reflected a glimmering array of colours underneath the light, which she immediately asked her mother to tie it on her.

Arthur had given Eleanor and his mother the two Phoenix Wyrm pendants he had acquired from Gideon. She was ecstatic about how beautiful it was, though she probably would never know the full value of it. My parents had given her some nice dresses, which she also tried on the spot.

And lastly, it was time for my present. "Happy birthday Eleanor," I said with a bright smile and handed over my gift. She hurriedly opened the box and her face turned into a giant childish grin.

"A teddy bear!" She exclaimed and tightly hugged the soft brown bear. Seeing the cute sight in front of me, my heart started to melt, and I went over and hugged her.

"Awwwww. You're welcome."

After opening a few more presents, she finally arrived at the present I had intercepted from a certain someone.

"Who did this present come from?" Asked Aunt Alice.

"It was a present from Arthur's friend from Elenoir," I answered as I pinched my husband on his side. He let out a little yelp and furiously massaged where I pinched him.

"It's not like that." He whispered and looked at me with an expression mixed with pain and annoyance.

"Yes, it is. A woman can tell when other women are crushing on her man. Even if it's the littlest details, we know." I whispered back.

"... Really?"

"Yes."

"What did she even do?"

(Flashback)

I waited for about another five minutes before the royal carriage eventually pulled up in front of the main gate. I was quite far away from them, so I used mana to enhance my eyesight and hearing. First, an elven maid stepped out wearing an olive green vest over a white shirt. Her eyes were a vivid green that matched her outfit and her hair a light grey; neat and short. Although she would be classed as attractive, she paled in comparison to the person who next exited the carriage.

She had long gunmetal grey hair that extended past her shoulders and shimmered silver in the moonlight. Her round, gleaming teal eyes set in a small pale face, which looked like it was carefully moulded by a masterful artist. She had a small perky nose and distinct pointy ears, the elven trademark. Two braids were tied together on the back of her head and another two braids that hung from behind her ears, which had gold studs hanging from them.

I was a bit taken aback by her appearance. Knowing that she was a princess, I expected her to be somewhat attractive, but attractive would be an understatement here. She would definitely be one of the most feminine and beautiful girls I've ever seen.

Her eyes travelled across the front lawn, and she started walking towards the manor with a large rectangular box in her hands wrapped around in green wrapping paper. I started to walk around the house so when we met, it seemed like it was a coincidence. Once her eyes landed on me, they widened in disbelief and awe, and then as if remembering our previous one-sided interaction, her body started shaking in fear; remembering the threat I once made to her.

I made a surprised face and walked towards her. She looked down at her feet and refused to look at me, acting like if she did, she would experience hell. Concorting my face into a welcoming smile, I greeted her.
